Shelves often looking empty these days, poor lighting, needs more staff on tills to oversee self service ones. Staff pleasant a positive at least.
Went in to co-op this morning, all fresh fridges were nearly empty and the other shelves not much better. One member of staff on tills and only one other trying to fill even though their trolley didnt have much on either. Never seen it this bad with no attempt to replenish. No service not even a smile and there was only me and one other customer in the store.
We go out of our way to use Co op stores when we can. The experience in this store was very poor. A male member of staff was filling shelves and was doing so really aggressively dropping a box behind us what appeared intentionally. The one star is for the lady that served us and not for the very dirty shop and beggars outside
Nice staff.... Practically empty of goods though
Nice little Co-op with all the typical things you'd expect really. Lots of drinks and snacks and satisfactory range of groceries. Staff were friendly and they are still accepting cash amidst this Coronavirus situation.
I've never given a negative review. The blonde staff member was rude and patronising. I have complex partial seizures. I blank out and miss bits of conversations and forget things and I have grand mal seizures. Anyway, the machine wouldn't take my pound coin and the blonde shelf stacker came to help and instead of being useful she said its not the machines fault. I asked why. She wouldn't give a reason and i told her it must be, as its not my fault or the pound coins and rudely she said "well I disagree", Then she took my dounuts and I told her I wanted them too. And she then said resentfuly "well you should have done one transaction!". Trying to be polite while I paid for the donuts, I explained I blank out. Then that pound coin was on the floor, I picked it up and she laughed at me. I respect she may have just been having a bad day and I ask that she not get take this negatively but as constructive feedback that she can use to be more patient and friendly to the customers that she feels negative towards... perhaps that she just try alittle harder to understand that people can have disabilities that u can't see and I apologise for not doing things her way at her speed but my seizures cause me to do things slower and there's no law to pay for things separately. I left co op feeling down and when she laughed at me it reminded me of being bullied in primary school. If your reading this, I would like to say I'm sorry if from ur perspective I was wasting ur time and also for not sharing your complete faith in those machines even when they don't work. I may not come bk again as now co.op is linked to feeling . But if I do I ask that we start again and il practice being extra polite and j hope she does too. Thanks
I have used this co-op for a long time when visiting but was disappointed after I spent the day in town visiting lots of shops and finally going in this shop for a cake and encountering 4 people in the space of a few minutes not wearing face masks and refusing to socially distance from others. After speaking to a staff member I was informed that they are not allowed to challenge anyone who does not follow guidance or ask for proof of exemption. Ok co-op maybe you don't want to ailienate customers but what about the larger majority that do follow rules? I had to ask someone to back away as they were not wearing masks and came within 1 metre. If the staff will not help to keep us safe I will not shop here again. Real score for this shop is Nil.
Clean, well stocked, great value helpful and polite staff. Cashier was doing a dual job. Serving me with a smile and at the same time keeping an eye on a shop lifter whom he stopped from stealing a 4 pack of beer.
