This little store is a real gem when it comes to emergency local shopping. The manager here seems to know what it means to come fully stocked with the essentials. Brands are well selected and for a small Express store I've often found that one thing I needed. Stationary, meats, vegetables, dairy, it's all here. I can't speak for baby essentials like nappies but I should imagine they'll have wipes at the very least. Since finding this one I prefer coming here versus going to the much larger "superstore" in Langney Shopping Centre which is shoddily stocked and haphazard when it comes to selection. As with all things, it's not the size but the quality that matters. And this place really is a relief to walk into and find.
This is one of the roughest tescos i have ever been in! Really rough looking people in it and a security guard! I thought Stone cross was supposed to be a well to do area lol.
It's relatively convenient. There is on site a GP Surgery, dentist, chemist and estate agency. The parking lot is like a game of Bumper Cars. Cars trying to leave and park. Recently the whole front window of Tesco's Express was smashed in by a car! So parking, is a nightmare. What I personally find incredibly annoying is there is only just the one person on the tills serving. So the queue to pay is long and the one person behind the counter will not call for assistance unless challenged. Once I asked the assistant if there was anyone else available to serve? he said no, but a few minutes later he buzzed to get another employee to help which happened as if by magic They do have self service tills, but they also require staff supervision. I don't know quite what's going on, one person serving, long queues, and no staff members bothering to ring for assistance. It feels like they really couldn't care how long your wait to be served is. Rant over but enter at your own risk!
Handy shop, open early until late, usually has what I need in stock, although no bread on a couple of recent visits.
This is the worst tesco I have ever visited. Frequently empty shelves and 5 self serve machines but all card only. Making you have to que behind 5 people to buy a drink as the service is slow
No complaints. Well stocked shelves and fast moving ques. Carpark can be a little busy because of local school but that is what rush hour is all about.
Only average I'm afraid from me. The car park is chaotic. Once inside the shop it seems a little bit cramped. Not many people to ask for things, so not best shopping experience. Either it's very lacking on low carb bread or I go in at the wrong time and it's sold out!!
Creepiest security guard ever!! Wouldn't stop looking at every female in the store walking past him, then when we were at self service he was staring at my arse from 2 meters away and my friend's, you can't really disagree that he wasn't, from so close. Such a horrible experience.
Handy express store with lots of free parking outside. Prices are a little higher than the larger Tesco stores but it is convenient. There are 5 self service tills at the front which is good as this store gets very busy.
Shelves not stocked at 8am this morning , looked like the place had been burgled. Went in at 3pm and the shop then looked like it needed a good clean. And the self service area was playing up and no members of staff came to help me.
