First time visiting and the scenery was lovely. We walked up windy hill which certainly lived up to it's name. It was well sign posted and the paths were well maintained. Planning on going back to try out some of the other walks.

My sister and I drove around and through the park seeing it from many sides. It seems strange that a collection of sheep farms can be called a park. There are streams, a loch, a few reservoirs, some pine plantations, and very few other trees. The sheep maybe eating tree saplings before they grow larger. We saw a rabbit and a raptor. The best were walking to lookouts high above Largs. We hope that sheep will leave and the land returned to a wild state, with diverse plants and animals.

Got lost one day while out for a drive and ended up here. What a lovely surprise. Didn’t know this place existed. Beautiful views and really peaceful place to get away from it all. Will definitely return.

The Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park is situated on the West Coast of Scotland. It is a lush country park which is bordered by the Mouth of the Clyde in the north and reaches to Adrossen harbour in the South. On the east side is the A737 and on the western side is the A78 which runs along the coast. You can go for lovely walks with family and dogs are allowed. There are safe pathways which frequently host wildlife including deer, badgers and fox. There are also sheep and cattle that run wild so if you have an energetic dog it would be great to have them on a leash when spotting wildlife. For avid day walkers the ultimate is to walk from either west to east of the park or vice versa. The area is a habitat for various species of plants and insect and features rivers and waterfalls in parts. Birds are plentiful because of the nearby RSPB. If entering the park from the A737 (Lochwinnoch) side, it will be easier to park up and find waterfalls and great scenery within minutes. The road that leads to the Park is filled with curves and local famers use it frequently so please adapt your speed in any weather conditions. The facilities are clean and tidy and the place gets a regular trimming. There is a smaller walk for less adventurous folk which takes you to a hill simply named The Windy Hill. As the name suggests; windy hill is windy at anytime summer or winter. A good place to blow the cobwebs out. In Winter the park is particularly beautiful as everything contrasts against the snow. When you arrive here on a sunny day after the snow has fallen; it can be like heaven on earth. The locals take to the rivers in summer to swim and hang out. Please do not leave litter behind as on the rare occasion I have seen others collect waist left by other persons either knowingly or unknowingly. Persons with bad health should stick to the easier walkways. Call the park for more details. The snow that lies on the "Muirshiel" as it's locally known, can be seen for miles on a clear day. Finally there are e-charging parking bays for those who drive electrical cars.
