Great Stock of items, and receptionist very professional, even offered us a coffee, she didn't know we had travelled 150 miles to visit the shop. Went downhill later, I must have somehow upset the gun dealer, because he was not too helpful. I had a list of items I wished to purchase, I had a decent budget, I had checked all were in stock on the web site. First I wanted to get a bipod I was 90% sure I would get the Spartan pro hunt tac, but also wanted to compare it to the Norne hunt, dealer did not know about the Norne hunt, this was fine because both were in stock, so I could decide by comparing them. Decided on the Spartan. Next on my list was a Bino harness, my binos are EL 12x50, so they would not fit in my first 2 choices of harness, this left the Swarovski, which they did fit in, I tried the harness on, which was easy because the packaging is clearly designed to allow for trial fitting, they were quite loose, so I wanted the adjust the straps, were I was informed I could not do so unless I was going to buy them. This seemed a bit harsh. So I paid for them and the bipod and the other items I had already chosen and left the shop feeling a little disappointed.nI did not get to choose the thermal spotter with LRF, or choose between the Z8i and DS.
I recently purchased a telescopic sight from Cluny Country Store. I emailed with a question which was answered very quickly by Robin. I placed the order and as promised it arrived the following day. It was extremely well packed and even had a checklist inside to show it had been checked before despatch. This is an extremely nice touch and I wish more companies would take the time to do this.nThroughout the transaction I felt like I was a valued customer which again more companies could learn from. I would have no hesitation in using them again and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a shop with good old fashioned service and very competitive prices too. Rifle test day eventnThis was a really well run event with an informal light touch; a generous allocation of ammunition and supremely well informed and helpful hosts. The selection of rifles available for trial was right the way through the price range and all were fitted with the best optics. The morning was safe, informative, superb value for money and most of all great fun. A big thank you for my invitation to the team. All I need to do now is save up to buy the rifle of my choice now my appetite for a thoroughly modern, accurate upgrade has been whetted.
Picked up a new Lockaway gun cabinet on 4th March. Excellent service, friendly and approachable staff, excellent gun room and facilities.
Great selection of shooting clothing and accessories.. really friendly staff too..
