The food was great overall, the starter was fake fois gras made using nut butter which was yummy and ethical. Haha. The main was roast duck and portion was generous. However the lemon dessert with curry cream inside was not nice.. the waitress said it was their signature dessert and they have been making it for 26 years... omg, lemon and curry combo was probably the worst thing I have tasted. But the cheese and bread round up the meal nicely. Service was excellent and atmosphere was good. Price was definitely eye watering but overall experience was a pleasant one. We had a nice evening there.
Club Gascon is the perfect mix of chic, modern, and fun! It delivers a Michelin-starred experience that goes above and beyond. The food is amazing, with top-notch ingredients, perfect flavors, and flawless technique, all showcasing chef Pascal Aussignac's unique flair. Plus, it's a great bang for your buck. We had a fabulous time and totally recommend Club Gascon! Vegetarian options: Chef Pascal Aussignac and Club Gascon were recently awarded ‘Best Vegetarian Dish’ at the 2023 edition of the World Food Championships held in Dallas, USA. That says it all.
We had all the dishes on the 3 course summer menu. Every one was superb with the stand outs being the feta cheese, the duck and the Gurnard. Oh and dont forget the girolle desert !!Food: 5/5
The food is very tasty. The chef is very classy but with some modern twist. The dining room is beautifully decorated. There is plenty of space between tables. The service is flawless- friendlyprofessional and efficient. The pace is very well controlled. The portion is surprisingly big Would definitely recommend to everyoneWell worth the price Dietary restrictions: well adapted
Food was very disappointing, lack of seasoning, very bland. Maybe my palette is not sophisticated enough. On top of that my friend who got smoked mackerel got food poisoning. Which completely ruined our plans for the next day.Food: 2/5
Wow! An absolutely incredible food and wine experience. The staff are so knowledgeable about all the dishes and ingredients, we felt really well looked after and it really was a culinary journey that we were taken on. I cannot recommend Club Gascon enough. We went for the 8 course taster menu with wine pairing. The flavours and innovation was mind blowing. It’s an absolute must when visiting london and the Michelin star is very very well deserved.
First time visitor, had the vegetarian, 6 course menu, which was absolutely amazing. Dish of the meal, was the stuffed courgette flowers.Came with the most amazing smoked bread, and that green sauce! Divine, never had a sauce as smooth as that. Overall the experience was nothing but excellent. Staff were also very nice and talkative, explaining about the food, history of the restaurant and feelings of the chef. No rushing at all, atmosphere was amazing, we were actually the first people in for the evening so the place was completely empty and lovely. There was nice and relaxing background music. Found the portion size to be a overall excellent just a tinsy bit too much, but we tend to eat less than average and you definitely will be fed after. As besides the courses there are other little bits and bobs. Will be looking to return, though it is definitely several times above our usual price range for a meal out, the taste and experience was worth it for a very special occasion. Vegetarian options: Its hard to do good vegetarian French cooking, but this place knocks it out of the park. Vegetarian foie gras was so good!
Already recommended it to so many people. It was absolutely perfect we really loved it, best michelin restaurant we did in London to this day. The food was incredible, we loved and recognised the french cuisine with such amazing twists such as Terre et Mer and the use of many citrus. I can't wait to come back, can't wait to try Le Bar. We loved the opportunity to meet the chef Pascal as well who was amazing and very kind. A bientôt!!
My first visit here and highly recommended. Had the eight course tasting menu with wine pairing. Each dish was incredibly creative, beautifully presented and, above all else, tasted wonderful. The staff were attentive, very professional, and really friendly. Not remotely stuffy, as some high-end restaurants can be. It felt like a small, family-run restaurant, albeit with a Michelin star. Expensive, but worth it if you are lucky enough to be able to afford it.
Highly pretentious tasting menu that would appeal to very few palettes. Lack of dress code person next to us wore jogging bottoms, hoodie and white trainers made an awful dining experience feel even less special. Courses were as follows: Appetizers - a delicious selection of 5 bite sized samples. All superb and led us to think we were in for a true culinary experience.... 1. Prawn cappuccino soup with lentils and tuna heart. Very fishy but passable, nothing special. 2. Artichokes and plate of hibiscus. Truly awful. 3. Bowl of various mushrooms including pickled in boiled water and foam on top. Lacked flavour. Unpleasant texture. 4. Mouthful of pigeon - the only piece of meat of the non vegetarian menu. Looked nicely cooked but chewy. 5. Some kind of melted slushy blue cheese. Looked like a melted sorbet alongside crunchy noodle sticks. Very sickly. Couldn't eat it. 6. Herb flavoured sorbet, a sloppy melted affair that looked like it had been recycled from prior course. 7. Fermented honey glazed carrots literally two slices of carrot for desert alongside some dry ginger cake and an orange exploding thing which made my wife retch when she ate. I took mine to the loo and flushed it down the toilet as I couldn't bear the thought of seeing the waitress' disappointed face any more.
