Stayed two weeks august 2017 (weather was atrocious) Location was spot on, site was ...
We've been here about 8 months on the holiday park side and have no regrets. The park is beautifully maintained, it's quiet and the staff are very approachable. It's ideal for walking into Clitheroe and Waddington. There's a club house open on Friday and Sunday. We absolutely love it here.
Stayed in one of the top floor house flats over the winter, a mixed experience.1980s decor, lots of stairs, rooms quite dark due to the lack of windows and hence a lack of proper ventilation, a worn out flat carpet, creaking floorboards and noisy pipes...it needed a bit of a TLC.. Some great staff, but some of the others were less than friendly. A good quiet location...but let down by the unfinished work/maintenance going on around the park and the very loud dog in the nearby kennels.
We stayed in the Ribchester apartment. Booked direct through Shireburne. Really nice apartment, clean and spacious. The grounds are nice to walk around with the dog, and not long to get into Clitheroe town either.
Work being carried out on the site spoilt our holiday at Shireburne Park..the caravan was filthy inside and out wallpaper was hanging from walls the outside looks like it has never been cleaned windows look like they have never been cleaned inside and out since new.The outside surface of the caravan is covered with dead spiders and flies. Very poor cleanliness throughout disgraceful Stayed here before and it was exactly the same last time the work on the site seems to be never ending this should be mentioned in the write up on the website. Would advise anybody looking at this caravan park not to book it We won't be going back there again, pity really because the area is so nice
Stayed over Christmas and Shireburn park was decorated with twinkleing Christmas lights around the park. It is a very quiet caravan park very little traffic noise. So calm. Caravan was very nice too it even has a bath inside. Large kitchen dining room and living room also a balcony with seating. I would recommend this park to family too. Short walk from clitheroe town center 30mins
We have a mobile home here. It is a quiet, owners only site apart from 3 holiday lets The Office staff are wonderful as are the owners and other caravan owners. In a beautiful area of Lancashire with everything you need close by. Its our little piece of heaven and fully recommend
Handy place for accommodation options near to Clitheroe. Narrow roads to access the site, but also wonderfully quiet. Lots of countries and walks nearby, and a short drive or walkable route into Clitheroe
We've stayed here twice and plan on heading back again soon. The one bed apartment we've stayed in is lovely and spacious and clean. We've got a baby & struggled to find somewhere where we could fit her travel cot etc but plenty of room here its ideal. The bed is massive & very comfy wish we had it at home. Yes the big doors & stairs are tricky when getting stuff in & out but all the other good points totally out weigh this for us. The staff have always been very helpful & the grounds are beautiful
We first came across Shireburne Park last August when we were looking for a 52 week caravan park. Having never been to Clitheroe before, we instantly fell in love with the area and the site. We ordered a new caravan that was due to be delivered November, unfortunately there was a delay so we rented a holiday home and enjoyed 3 weeks in it. In December our caravan was delivered and sited, it was one of the worst rainfalls for years, surrounding areas were flooded but we were completely safe. We moved into our new home and loved it. So peaceful and relaxing with great owners and staff. Our caravan was the first one to be sited on the new field, so we were on our own for some months and we have watched the development of the site. Its looking really good now. We liked it that much that we bought another one on the residential side and now live here permanently. Fortunately for us we sold our first van in a matter of weeks. There's nowhere better to come and chill and watch the fabulous wildlife everyday. Waddington village is a 2 minute drive with 3 great pubs that do great food. We consider ourselves very lucky to be living on a great park in a beautiful part of the country. Whether its for a holiday in one of the manor house apartments or a caravan, or to spend months in your own caravan, you'll love it. Come and see for yourselves.
Just visiting friend who is residential. Lovely site, picturesque and very quiet and peaceful.
