I took my young daughter here to get her ears pierced. It was an impromptu decision as we walked past, and not a booked appointment. It was quite a higher price than I expected it to be, but the service was professional and she was very happy with it all.
Avoid getting piercing’s done here. You book an appointment, they never have enough staff to be doing it and serving other customers so you feel rushed! Twice now they haven’t had the studs I’ve chosen, not interested in giving any advice. I walked across to superdrug and the lady there was brilliant and the cost was a lot cheaper!
Fabulous service. Came in on a whim to get a piercing and the lady was just lovely. Didn't get her name, unfortunately, but she put me at ease and was very professional. Will come back very soon!!
Our little girl had her ears pierced and we were really impressed with the staff here. There were 2 really friendly and engaging young women who asked all the right questions, explained everything to us and really made the effort to get our 9year old relaxed. Thank you . Would definitely recommend.
Booked a nose piercing online. Arrived today to get it done and they didn't even have the jewellery to pierce with. So a totally wasted journey and also made me out of pocket with travel expense and car park fee. Prices online was cheaper than what was given to us in store by a significant amount. No apology given for wasting my time.
Had my helix pierced here three weeks ago and all the studs were tiny. My stud ended up going into my ear cartilage and I couldn’t get it out. I ended up having to go to hospital to get my cartilage cut open to get the piercing out! There was no warning of possible complications arising from the tiny studs they use. I then went back to Claire’s to see if they’d offer somewhat of an apology. The staff member in there offered no apology to what happened to my ear and made me feel like it was my fault.
The worst ear piercing ever!! In the wrong place on lobe. Don’t go!!
After some apprehension, I had both my daughters ears pierced here, they explained everything and assured me of their cleaning standards. 6 weeks later no issues, no infection etc. Those issues that you see in other reviews are probably more related to poor after care and NOT their service - which was excellent
My little girl has been asking to have her ears pierced for years. I said when she was 5 and it was the six weeks she could. Sure as anything first day of the holidays she asked me! We went to Claire's to have her ears pierced, the staff were pleasant but pretty busy! I think it would have been better for my daughter if it was done both at the same time rather than one after the other, we weren't given the option like other customers. But regardless it was an ok experience and we would return in the future.
Took my daughter to have ears pierced. Just awful. We were not given the option of not buying the ridiculously expensive aftercare solution £15 it was just included in the overall cost £50. It was really busy like a production line. In retrospect I should have just walked away. There was no warning of possible complications arising from the tiny studs they use. Two weeks after all healing brill but then one of the studs sank back in to her ear due to its small size. She was really upset and scared. Took her to docs who sent us to hospital where a nurse gave her a local and gas and air and dug it out from the back. I thought it was a rare thing but the nurse said she does this all the time and that places like Claire’s should be more accountable and should provide good sized studs to stop this from happening. I am writing this review so others can have the benefit of my experience and ensure you get studs at least 5mm diameter.
