Not trustworthy dealer for the service or MOT at city gate Kia Slough branch. Last service for my Kia was done by GWR in Brentford, it was very smooth process with no issues. Recently moved to Slough and my Kia was due for service and MOT I thought I should use the local Kia approved dealer which was city gate Kia Slough. I use my car for taxi and I inspect my car daily basis. On 22nd of September I dropped my car to city gate Kia Slough for full service and MOT and I left my car with no damage whatsoever. In the afternoon I went to pick the car up, I did not get a chance to inspect the car as the car was parked on the main road on a double yellow. When I came home and checked, I found the front passenger side bumper was damaged. Long story short after going back and forth emails, calls and visiting the branch met the manager Gavin who was helpful and went through all the CCTV footage but he confirmed that didn't happen on their site.nnThey use a third party to do the MOT which I wasn't aware of, so the car was off site for MOT test and must been damaged while it was out. I had been waiting for the manager Gavin to get me an update from the MOT test centre but he failed to do so as it's been months and I haven't heard anything back from them even after emailing numerous times.nnIt was my mistake to use city gate Kia Slough in the first place and have learnt my lesson. I read couple of other reviews where people are saying they also had their car returned damage while it was on a service/ MOT. Very disappointed and will be avoiding using them in future and will be telling others to also avoid.
A great experience throughout .nDealt with Chris Austria from Slough branch.nNo hard sell . From seeing car to purchasing and driving away it was so smooth and easy . Understood my requirement and need . Always felt a valued customer .nAlso a mention to Charlotte who dealt with the handover . After visiting numerous showrooms I can honestly say don’t feel I’ve met such a helpful and genuine team before. Was particularly impressed with Chris and how in-depth his knowledge on each vehicle etc was. Was so nice to feel as though someone is trying to help meet my requirements rather than treat my family and I as a sales opportunity.
Our first visit to the dealership was to view a used e-niro to assess its suitability for us. The sales person was Charlotte who is a trainee. She quickly and efficiently went through the features of the car. Any questions she could not answer she went and found the answer.nAfter this first visit we arranged a test drive, which the dealership arranged at our home. This was very considerate. After the test drive we decided to purchase the car.nThe handover of the car was handled by Charlotte and it went quite smoothly. However, we did have to ask for certain key documents. The warranty information and a final invoice for the sale of the car. We put this down to Charlotte's inexperience as a trainee.nOne the whole we had a good experience at this dealership.
