Keith the manager couldn't be more helpful goes out of his way to help thanks again
AVOID Came in to get some isolator taps , man behind the desk refused to serve me because I didn’t have a mask on. He had a mask and was 5 meters away from me and there was a huge screen between us and I sanitised I explained that I am exempt from wearing a mask. He told me to stand outside and call the number for a click and collect as he wasn’t going to serve me. I explained how I was exempt, it was actually illegal for him to challenge my exemption but he refused me once I explained, a customer walked in and he proceeded to humiliate me in front of the public . He kept saying “company policy” about 7 times. I then asked for evidence of this. He then showed me a piece of paper that explained how people in England and Scotland need to wear a mask. So I pointed out that we lives in wales and this paper meant nothing, also pointed out that if it did say wales it still applies that you can be exempt. He said “we follow the same rules as England” I had to explain how mark drakeFord and wales follow and creat our own rules . Anyway I was eventually forced to wear a mask, to buy £12 worth of materials . This has to be my worse experience ever inside a business premises . This man in particular needs to actually learn the law and learn how to treat people I am a reputable builder, just started a project in Pontypridd to build 3 town houses, I had intended to buy all plumbing materials from this branch . Obviously after this episode I will not be. For the record I and not an anti Vaxer, I have had Covid , I have had both my jabs, I am just genuinely exempt from wearing a mask .
From grotty bathroom to light, bright shower-room - what a transformation! My husband and I are delighted. Keith Davies was our point of contact, and he was helpful, friendly, courteous and very efficient at all times. His patience was impressive too as we took quite a long time to decide exactly what we wanted! The units are good quality, and well made - and it's great to have a shower that works! We used R.T.C. Round Table Construction, to fit out the room and are more than satisfied with the work they carried out. Ross and Rhys did the plumbing and fitting, and Dan and his apprentice, Morgan, worked on the electrics - and a nicer bunch of lads you couldn't wish to meet! More important perhaps, is the speed and efficiency with which they carried out the work , and the care they took to get everything the way we wanted it. The results speak for themselves. I'd advise anyone to look out for them. I've mentioned them here because they don't yet have a website, and I think they definitely deserve a word or two!
Great shop, they've got everything you need for plumbing, stop going to Screwfix and Toolstation for your radiators and what not, city plumbing is cheaper, more knowledgeable staff no offense Screwfix and Toolstation. They also have a big bathroom display area currently closed due to covid and sell some smart tech like smart camera, speakers, thermostats and the like. Check the website first for online offers
