We had good interactions with the council previously but now there is unprofessional staff dealing with commercial properties. Renewal of a lease took 6 month to be provided, but they didn't allow a small business time to provide the signed lease back. No support for small businesses in the current climate we aren't asking much except for time to complete paperwork, especially when the high street is in need of local businesses. We had a really unpleasant interaction with a staff member who decided to speak about their looks in a conversation about rental properties. If you are looking to rent a commercial property definitely look elsewhere - there are much better landlords out there. Also don't bother trying to call them - they don't answer, even if they just emailed you seconds before.
Just watched the binmen drop our household refuse bin into the bin lorry this morning. My husband went and asked the operatives for it back. They said, "It's gone now mate, nothing we can do about it." I rang the City of Lincoln Council to be told they will put an order for a replacement. Now, it apparently takes 2 weeks to get it for some reason, and only after 2 weeks of waiting will they be able to chase it. In the meantime, just put your rubbish in bin liners on the kerb side. Cue foxes, rodents, and bad weather.
Every interaction I have with the City of Lincoln Council has been positive. Granted, I don't have too much interaction, but where I have, I've got no complaints. The staff have always been friendly and helpful.
Absolutely diabolical, 8 years waiting for a fence to be sorted. Problems on front of house, housing inspector useless not interested. Antisocial behavior people, ignore emails, ignore the police, not once but 4 times, They are happy taking rent, just not happy at taking any responsibility
It was definitely OK for parking plenty of space when I visited absolutely grand
Though job centres have changed a lot since the 1980's,they are basically still manned by bored staff with fake smiles, miserable looking security, and staff who just seem to wander up and down, desperately waiting to clock off....
Thank you for the ticket I received for parking on Danesgate. It has dampened the overall experience and made me question whether I would recommend the city to others. As a tourist, I expected a welcoming and accommodating environment that would encourage me to explore and appreciate the attractions Lincoln has to offer. I kindly request that the council consider reviewing its approach to parking enforcement and visitor information. By providing clearer guidance and support to tourists, you can foster a more positive experience and promote your city as an inviting destination for visitors. This was my first and last visit to your town. BTW please use double yellow line system as no parking signs on building walls are not visible.
After attempting to call on thursday 10:40 am I was told the council was closed and then told the opening time for Thursdays was 9-5??? Must say I'm confused but not surprised by these levels of incompetence.
Still waiting for my £150 council tax rebate from April ! Phoned 8 times, emailed 5 times, and have been promised a letter will be sent out, but still waiting !!! First time I emailed I was told I was too late to claim it using the normal channels and it would be added as credit to my account, and I needed a letter with my bill/credit displayed so I can transfer it to my bank, as I don't pay by direct debit. I then phoned and was promised a letter would be sent out. After another 4 phone calls and 7 emails I'm still waiting for my letter, they promise to send it every time but still haven't. If I owed THEM money you can be sure they would do everything to retrieve it. Bunch of lying charlatans.
Greedy and lazy can not be bothered to do the repairs that have been reported and now the council want more money from everyone. Also doing a poor job of keeping the roads maintained outer circle is a joke of a road. Now just had a new back window fitted and one of the glass panels have been cracked and all that's been done to sort it by the work man is some tape on it absolutely disgusting service
