Bought a new gravel bike in this shop recently and I was very impressed by the knowledge and passion for cycling shown by the manager Mark. No hard sell, just honest advice and when I collected the bike it was set up for me with expert care and attention. Support this local store and others like it, so they can continue to provide this sort of excellent experience that you just dont get with shopping online!
Fantastic toy shop! Staff were super friendly with my wee one and they had a huge selection of stuff. Wish there were more shops like this.
This store is actually five in one. It is a toy shop, a haberdashery, a hardware, a bicycle shop & best of all for me a very well stocked model store with everything from airplanes, to tanks & back again plus all the tools you would need to really enjoy the hobby. They are well stocked on Humbrol & Tamika & Airfix & if your thing is railways then they have everything you might need as well. I love coming here but unfortunately my self control suffers & I always end up buying stuff. I know they're a little dear but I don't mind paying when this place is so close to where I live & I love supporting the small man.
The name doesn’t do it justice for what it is! We love it as a toy shop
I paid £214 to have an old bike receive a full service. I received the bike back with damage to the handlebar post, one of the drinks holders shoved into the rear mudguard and the bike unwashed despite having paid for washing. They took the bike back and washed it, which is when I found the huge gouge around the handlebar post and gave up on these people. Prior to this I had been thinking of taking our custom road bikes here but I would never trust them with anything now. Please do not take your bike here, send them a message that behaving like this because the bike is old is not good enough.
VERY expensive place, make sure you shop around before committing to buy anything from here! Very few of the staff seem to have a sense of humour or appear happy in their work... maybe this is in their job description. There's one particular gent who I've only ever seen serving in the toy department can be cantankerous and appears miserable.
Excellent selection of products and friendly, helpful service when buying a bike and related accessories.
We come every December for our children to choose their special Christmas toy and it is one of the highlights of their year. A real old fashioned toy shop with friendly staff where the children can explore and browse to their hearts content before leaving with a toy they love. A truly magical experience.
This is a very handy store! 5 different departments like DIY stuff, bikes and for what I went for...... models. Great range of models and the amount of different paints they had was bonkers! Hoped they had some models of CVRT but it I'd a bit niche. The rail models made me think about taking up the hobby too!!!
Always been a great store. Best place to get any sewing/craft product, toys, DIY, and of course bicycles etc and great repair expertise. Been a customer for years, staff very helpful.
