There are never any appointments available so I always end up going to an A&E walk in center. I don't see a doctor very often but the scenario is always the same. -phone, wait on hold, get told phone again tomorrow unless emergency. The nurses on the other hand are great, never had any issues.

My son has very bad psoriasis which at the time was weeping, bleeding & very sore, was told by a Dr shine as he walked into room to 'hurry up this is an emergency appt.' before she even knew what was wrong. Waiting room was empty. She then prescribed a discontinued cream so he had to go back only to be told make another appt. Rude unhelpful staff and doctors bring back Dr Johnson days. N

Always a wait. Waiting rooms always quiet. Reception staff stressed verging on rude. Once the initial contact has been made they are great. A bit too much reliance on technology and less and less human contact.

Dr's are fantastic but massively under-resourced. They have lost a number of GPs recently and are struggling (like the rest of the UK) trying to get replacements though I have been told this should be resolved by the end of November. On one occasion last summer (2015) one of the GPs got in particularly early just to see me to fit around my work pattern. I did have an issue for which I wrote to the Practice Manager who phoned me barely 48 hours after I sent it and resolved it there and then. The NHS is struggling so yes it does take three weeks to get an appointment sometimes but that is just the norm sadly. I don't understand the negative 1 star comments; they are certainly not reflective of the service I have seen for both my wife and myself. Update: New GPs have started and over the past 6 weeks I have had the GP call me about blood test results within 24 hrs of the test. I called at 0945 to get an urgent appointment for my wife and was astonished that not only could she get an appointment it was with her own GP. I really can't understand the negative 1 star reviews. The local area is undergoing a boom in new developments so things may get worse but don't judge the surgery or GPs on waiting times they don't set planning laws; judge them on the service they provide and mine is 100% 5*
