A better Chinese restaurant in this neighborhood though small. The lady staff was very friendly. Dishes here were mainly Cantonese cuisine. It seemed fried rice & noodles better than other rice dishes. Prices were reasonable.
A good place for a quick pit stop and near to the Brunswick center. The food is rather mediocre, though it is generally affordable. Lady managing the restaurant can get a bit impatient at times, and has poor sense of seats allocation. Not the best service. If you ever visit, maybe give the roasted pork rice a try, I enjoy the ratio of meat to the juicy fatty layer. Overall, acceptable standards of Asian cuisine.
Over burned aubergine taste very bad!!! Over priced. Compulsory service charge. I wonder why I ended up in this place 10 minutes ago. Bad experience
Very good beef brisket fried rice and chicken and black bean sauce rice
I tried the roast pork with rice. The roast pork is too fatty which makes it very difficult to chew. Sometimes, the meat can be very tough and makes the whole thing a nightmare to eat it. The portions are alright for the price. I also tried the brisket with hor fun which is not bad as it is soft and not too salty. Moreover, the lady who runs the stall is pretty loud and impatient at times, which can make the customer experience dissapointing. Occasionally, I tried asking for tap water but it takes them ages to get the water and sometimes they forgot about it. The restaurant is easily crowded especially during rainy days. I will only recommend this place if you are staying in the area and want to get quick Cantonese dishes.
The food was fantastic we enjoyed everything. It was clean and had a good atmosphere. I would recommend you give it a go. Did I say the food was excellent? Well worth a visit as reasonably priced to even for a northerners... :
this is the second time that we come here and the beef noodles were burnt. We complained to the waitress and were told that this is the normal flavor but we had the same dish last time and the taste wasn’t the same. we are extremely disappointed with both the cuisine and the customer attention.
I ordered sweet sour chicken with rice and after it's served, I can tell even from the colour and smell that it tastes REALLY BAD! I can't understand why someone is giving 5-star comment on this place!! The chicken was just over-fried and the sauce was too sweeeeet. When I told them the chicken is too sweet they didn't even listen. A really bad dining experience
Very tasty authentic Chinese food with fast service.
You really do get what you pay for. This is a GREAT little place to go to on a budget or when you just don't feel like cooking lol. The place is clean, the food is good and it is great value for money. I agree with other posters who have mentioned you get better service from the gentlemen than for the ladies. That being said, do not expect great service from a place that offers £4.50 lunch meals. Let's be realistic. You want great service you go to fine dining restaurants.
