So happy that we tried this place. The hand pullled noodles with the spicy pork was great. Fat pillowy noodles swamped in a sauce that was full of flavour. The spices tasted freshly ground and feels like the Middle East touching Asia. Cumin is not a flavour you would associate with Southern Chinese food, but apparently in the North it is common, particularly with lamb. The Chinese burger is a good offering. All in all it feels like some corporate money is behind this chain, but I’m glad it is as I will definitely be revisiting. The service and the price is fair and the food delicious. I would suggest giving this place a try. I’ll be looking for other Xian restaurants on my travels.
I was dying to try this place for some time having only ordered it as takeaway once and loved it. WE stumbled across it looking for somewhere relaxed and quiet for a Friday night dinner. It didn't disappoint. The biangbiang noodles are the star of the show but you can't go wrong here really, everything tastes incredible. The murghers aren't my favourite but they do have great flavours. The cold noodles and biang biang noodles are my favourites here, any one is good. We tried the dry beef biang biang noodles and chilli cold noodles. I'll definitely come back to try some of the other dishes.
Best Chinese restaurant I've ever eaten at outside if China!!! Im so bored of the British style Chinese restaurants you see around. Murger Han's food is so delicious and a single bite took my back to my time in Xi'an at university. The staff were fantastic and food was perfect. There is a lovely Nigerian guy who works here and was very friendly and made the meal extra special. All in all a perfect evening that I would recommend to everyone.
Ordered the biang biang noodles with spicy pork and lamb. Spicy pork was a comically small portion. Lamb was dry but very flavorful. Also ordered the bowl extra spicy and didn't taste it. Noodles were the best part, as they were chewy and fresh. Would visit again. Not necessarily the best value per pound.
The ONLY good thing place was that XI’AN Sunset. Service is decent. However I think it’s just overpriced average food. The noodles are just super long and it gets really messy. My brand new shirt was completely totalled because of the noodles as it kept dropping every time I tried to eat it. Not worth your money. Just average food.
This place is specialised in Shan Xi food which is also called Qin cuisine named after Shan Xi province's abbreviation: Qin from the Qin dynasty. We ordered pita bread in mutton soup, and rice noodles in the clay pot. All the dishes looked amazing, but lacked flavour in broth which was a real shame. In Qin cuisine, you can't eat noodles without sweet pickled garlic as a side dish We ordered it as well. It was very nice and definitely added flavour to the dish. The environment is nice and chilled. The staff are very nice and friendly too.
Perhaps my dish wasn’t the popular dish but any good restaurant should make sure all dishes served to customers are of reasonable quality. I wonder how they had the confidence to serve this rice noodle dish at such a quality and quantity for close to 14 pounds. This dish is called shaguo rice noodles, . and this is the first time I saw it served like this: completely out-of-proportion serving of rice noodles, shredded tofu skin and shredded seaweed, and the other ingredients felt like kitchen scraps: a couple slices of potatoes and random other little things. Then, the soup base was so bland that I wonder what I paid for. The two stars are for the waiters.
If you’re a Westerner, expect Mandarin style service: you call the waiters over when you need them, and there’s usually a different person for each part of the service. Don’t be afraid to back in the mover to order drinks, food, and ask for the bill. The servers are kind and do their best, and if you’re unfamiliar with menu items I recommend checking their Instagram. You can get a bao bun anywhere, so when you’re here, I recommend ordering the hand pulled noodles and their specialty dishes. it’s a small restaurant, so book online!
There I met the most beautiful Chinese waitress even if I never saw her face under the black face mask. The food was wonderful and traditional. But I cannot really focus on the food from her beauty. I thought thousands of times to ask her WeChat number but I was like a coward without enough confident to say that. If you can read my review, can you please give your Wechat number to me or anyone else can help me to ask and send me in private. I really don’t want to miss her
Tried their famous Biang Biang noodles and I can rest easy knowing that I’ll have an answer if I’m ever asked what I want for a last meal. Noodles were perfectly chewy but not too chewy and had the perfect ratio of spicy pork to noodles and vegetables. Also tried their pork murger and thought they were pretty good with a crispy bun and a good amount of filling. Reservations recommended as the place is pretty small and tables are very close to each other. Thankfully, the attractive stranger beside me had an exquisite Eau de Parfum which added to the ambiance
