This is a large friendly pub with 2 floors and plenty of seating. Great selection of real ales. 2 main meals for £10.
Very nice little bar with superb choice of beers and wine - the chicken wings were great too!
Great place to stop off for a drink alcoholic or not that has really friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. Also a really good spot to catch up with sports, thanks to there being plenty of TV's and ample seating space for small or big groups. I didn't eat there during my visit but the food smelled very nice and the dishes I saw taken past me looked nice too.
Food was good although the barman had to ask about every meal I asked about. A lot of meals were out of stock but the staff were friendly and helpful and the place had a good atmosphere
Great pub with plenty of screens showing the football on silent in main bar, sound in a raised area and half decent selection of craft beer. Good price too a Beavertown Neck Oil is £4.75, I paid £6.50 yesterday in another bar for it, tho it just came in a plain glass here rather than the usual colourful Beavertown one you'd expect.
Service was good and drinks were nice, beer tasted like the lines are regularly cleaned and the cocktail I had was pretty good. Toilets were a bit dirty and it was very cold upstairs when we went up to watch the football.
Good selection of beers and ales. Food wise, well, skip the Sunday roast and the cauliflower cheese. My friends ordered that and it was horribly burned and tasted bad. Mac and cheese with the loaded pork belly was delicious though. Glad I read through the reviews here and ordered that instead of the roast. Service was a bit slow so only come here if you have time to kill. Bathroom isn't as bad as the other reviews say but it could be because we went on a Sunday early evening.
Great pub with a good selection of draught beers and spirits. The interior is nice and the food is decent. I believe they have events here too, so always check just to make sure just so if you wanted a quiet drink you won't be disturbed. They used to have a small selection of board games i.e jenga, chequers, them kind of games, but we had come at Karaoke time. Needless to say it was a great time! Update: Still a good pub. Decent priced drinks and a good selection of Brixton beers and Marlow brewery aswell as soft drinks heiniken 0% alcohol is sold there and that's not bad. Recommend the pulled pork chili con carne and the chicken wings. Really good. There was a promotion for happy hour during the week I believe writing this as of 31/01/23 and a deal for 2 meals for 1 I think? Either way, still a good pub!
A decent pub, just outside the town centre. Reasonably priced beers and food. Really comes into its own when there's a match or sporting event on.
Great pub in the centre of town. Friendly staff, good choice of drink and food, relaxed environment and lots of sport screens
