About as Japanese as I am. The "ramen" hasn't actually got any soup. If I could find a proper Japanese place nearby I would probably go there. It was tasty though, the beef was pretty juicy and I did like the noodles too.
I have eaten here several times, I love their tofu doodah with onions and teriyaki and egg fried garlic rice with salad and pickles. It's really delicious. I try to get there early on a Saturday, before 12pm to get a seat. They are pretty quick and that dish costs almost a tenner.
Apart from the tiny strange pickled ginger :D everything else we ordered was great. The chicken and beef both tasted nice and smokey, adequate portion with a reasonable price. Even the iced lemon tea was nice which is a first for me! Not too sour or sweet, just right!
This 'restaurant' does not know how to accommodate large crowds. The food is cold and hard- tastes old. I ordered the seafood teriyaki dish, and it was like eating cold rubber. It tastes like they cook the night before and leave it sitting until someone orders it. I DO NOT recommend wasting money on this place. I work too damn hard for my $$ to be stolen by a wanna-be "restaurant". I spit on this establishment. Waste of space! And anyone who spends money eating here is desperate and stupid.
Great food, but it used to be better. The special sauce chicken used to have a really nice crackle to it, but you don't get that anymore, which is really disappointing. Otherwise the food is really good value, and the service is quick. I might make a special request to make the chicken a little crispier next time.
It was quite hard to tell that the rice was indeed what they claimed to be "egg fried rice", whilst the hard rubbery squid gave my jaw quite the workout. Pretty cheap though. I had prawns, squid, salad, miso soup, egg fried rice, pickles and a tea coming in at a very reasonable £14, although the taste was also only merely reasonable.
Ordered a Chicken Black Pepper Teppanyaki set, the salad is pretty good, nice taste. Miso soup wouldn't be too salty. The Chicken teppanyaki itself is a little bit salty, but together with the rice, it's just right! There can be a little more pickle and pickled ginger. Overall portion is perfect
The worst meal I had so far. Employees seem to not care at all! Miso soup still had half a teaspoon of undissolved miso paste in the cup. The squid was drenched in the sauce loaded with sugars and likely MSG and looked disgusting. It did not even taste like squid anymore. What is worse, it made me sick. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!
Ordered a ramen and got stir fry with no soup. They said that’s how they do it.. the chicken also tasted unseasoned even though it was covered in sauce and the edamame beans just looked old. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone
Chicken teriyaki was pretty tasteless and a large plate of dried up chicken, poorly trimmed with a lot of skin still on it was very unappetizing. The salad needed more dressing. Only the miso soup was acceptable. A lot of food for the money but I didn't want to eat it.
