We had lunch, the steak experience to share you could defo of shared it between four people we took 3 of the steaks home. The steaks were cooked medium rare as we asked and cooked very well, the service was excellent and we were well looked after. The restaurant lived up to the menu and I hope the pictures do it justice.
We went here for fathers day, so it was always going to be a busy time BUT the food was still quick to come out. The steaks - cooked to perfection, I Had the 'Steak Experience to Share' with my brother and there was more then enough for us. My Dad had a Tomahawk and is still talking about it!! Thank you for making the day special!
Friendly staff and great food. Good housekeeping. Prices vary from reasonable to quite pricey depending on what you order. Free parking. Once you place your order, your bill must be settled. Check your bill before you pay. We were overcharged, for 2 items we were told that we had been given an old menu but with no fuss we got the difference back in cash. My hubby was given the wrong sauce...he ordered a Diana sauce. ..but we said nothing purely because I Iove peppercorn sauce. But check your sauces. I'm not sure about the plate sizes. We were sat at a table for 2-but our plates did not fit properly/comfortably on the table...I looked around...it was the same at the other tables. Very odd. Either get smaller plates or wider tables? Our table was wobbly, the waitress kindly, propped a paper napkin under the pedestal...I noticed another table across from us with a paper napkin propped under the pedestal....won't be back after this, although the food was absolutely delicious.
Had gold leaf tomahawk and my partner had the ultimate surf n turf. The steak was lovely even though it was expensive but this was obviously expected as it’s a image thing atm. The lobster was VERY VERY poor ours came with no claws and the main part of the body had been emptied. When we questioned this they said that they always empty the body as it can be grainy. Other seafood places we have been to we have been given the whole lobster. This was disappointing as we had hardly any meat. Friendly staff customer service was good
Food was fantastic! I had the surf and turf with blue cheese sauce. The steak was perfectly cooked throughout, the lobster tasted as yummy as I expected first time trying lobster the blue cheese sauce didn't taste like blue cheese, it just tasted like melted mature cheddar. But to me cheese is cheese The salted caramel churros were mouthwatering and sooo moreish. I had a cherry bakewell cocktail which just tasted like a slush puppy so could be very dangerous with how easily it went down. Staff were also lovely, kind and polite
This is a real hidden gem of a place. Tucked away at the back of The Boardwalk in Port Solent it's not an obvious destination. Husband booked a table for a rare child free night for us, we arrived and were greeted with a friendly welcome at the restaurant. Seated at a table, given the menus and explained how service goes there. Our server was fantastic, enthusiastic and funny. Our table was very wobbly and when we asked to be moved as it was like a seesaw he very quickly accommodated us and set us up on a new table. Drinks order came swiftly and starters were close behind them. As soon as starters were cleared the mains were there. This is potentially the only criticism I have with this place, service was too fast between courses. The food, where do I start? If you like perfection then this covers it. Prepared exquisitely, beautifully presented and flavours that get your mouth salivating just at the thought of it. It's not often you come across somewhere where your steak is cooked the same all the way through it. No cremated thin bits or underdone thick bits, same colour and juiciness all the way through. The lobster was perfect too, not rubbery or chewy and easily removed from the shell. Will definitely be returning.
We went to Relentless for lunch to celebrate my wife's birthday it was a bit quiet but it was to be expected on a Monday lunchtime. The service was excellent and the food was great. For a couple to have three courses depending on the mains you could be looking at around £100 plus drinks which are reasonably priced. We would definitely go back again.
Other than the dustbin close to the front of the shop smelling like death to no fault of the restaurant service was friendly and food was tasty with decent size portions. The bill for the 2 meals was £80+ for 2 starters, 2 mains and 3 drinks. Would have been better if the outside seating was in better condition. If that is improved and the public dustbin removed, would give it 5 stars
Been twice now in last few weeks, first on a Saturday, then just been for Sunday carvery. Love the food I dream about the toffee pudding!! & good quality - found the service very good, attentive & personal, nice folk working there. It's very busy & popular for a good reason - keep it up, and I'll be back soon! Kid-friendliness: Seems popular with families & welcoming to all. Parking: Parking free at Port Solent.
I’ve been to port Solent many times and never even knew this place was there as it’s a little hidden, however now I’ve found it I’ll definitely be back. Lovely food and awesome staff.
