Chester Fairoaks Caravan and Motorhome Club Site
"A pleasant, open and level site in Cheshire, Chester Fairoaks Caravan and Motorhome Club Campsite is conveniently placed just off the M53 gateway to North Wales, and close to the delightful walled city of Chester. Bordered by pretty oak trees, the caravan site is also close to a lovely canal walkway, two pubs, shops and a local swimming pool. Enjoy easy access to a wealth of things to do and see in the city - take in the sights on an open-top bus, wander around The Walls, immerse yourself in history and tradition by seeing the town crier, or delight in an abundance of excellent restaurants and shops. The nearby Chester Zoo is a wonderful day out for the family, home to over 12,000 animals in 110 acres of gardens."

Nice helpful staff and good location. Spotless facilities and lots of hooks my pet hate. Thanks for a fantastic stay. Note please take care walking to the shopping outlet as there is no footpath and many bloated Cheshire tractors abound.
I was a bit wary a few months ago about all these reviews about dodgy Irish travellers on site but honestly, we've stayed here twice and have booked again for next week and it's as quiet as a graveyard. You're not allowed a firepit like every other site this chain operate that we've stayed on. I guess its because of the louts they had problems with? I would recommend it, though, if you want a quiet getaway. All the staff are lovely and really helpful and there's shopping locally not my cup of tea at all but to each their own and a very nice forest close by called Stanney Woods to walk around. Facilities are all clean etc and there is a little play park to knackered the kids out in before bed
I've been here several times over the years as a great location with some good pubs for food nearby. Also, taxi to Chester only £10 -12.nSuffers with drainage issues but is bareable.nnMy biggest GRIPE is the change of rules a few yrs ago re the waste bins. Please, please put them back. The excuse about saving the planet is RUBBISH, just an excuse to cut down the workload, which, apart from the toilet blocks, is minimal anyway.nnWorryingly, there were a few travellers on site who gave us a fright when walking back onto the site in the dark.n5 or 6 lads and 3 cars parked adjacent to the barrier as if they were having a car meat, had to walk through them. Turns out when it was mentioned to staff that they were staying on site.nThen come on staff enforce some order.nAlso, they seem to have had a car crash, parked the damaged car on the car park, and start messing with it at night, which is strange. Staff again thought all ok. But come on, it's not a good impression. By all means, assist them to get it recovered, but it's not a scrap yard.nnFelt as though the site was going downhill, and always worried about what might go missing or get damaged. I understand you can't pick and choose who books, but when standards drop, the staff needs to get a grip.
This caravan & motorhome club site is in an excellent location within walking distance of lots of pubs and restaurants and Cheshire oaks for shopping.nnHowever , the site was very expensive @ £43 a night. The pitches are hard standing but many of them were under water at least on part of the pitch. Drainage needs to be added. The site was probably once lovely but it seems a bit neglected and needs work done on it to bring it back up. The toilets and showers were very clean and modern.
Highly recommend this site. Toilet facilities are unbelievably clean and so well thought out too! Site is well organised. Slight problem with flooding on a couple of pitches but these were marked off clearly so you could avoid those if desired. Added to all the facilities provided was the setting - pretty, quiet, birds/nature, and close to Cheshire Oaks shopping outlet plus close to eateries on foot and plenty of other options by car.
