In short, disappointing. I don't normally write reviews but unfortunately this camp site was very poor. My daughter, grandchildren and I stayed recently for a long weekend. The pods were basic but clean and my grandkids enjoyed the hot tub. My two issues with this site were it's incredibly rude staff and the uncleanly state of the toilet facilities. In addition to these complaints the pods were very expensive considering there are two hotels close by that provide breakfast (and one has a pool) for less than a weekend in a pod. I cannot recommend this site to anyone.

Negatives: Pods are very overpriced for what you get. Toilets blocks were not clean and the staff were rude and unhelpful. Positive: good location and pods have a hot tub.

My family stayed here the other month and I can't say that I will be in a hurry to go back. Our experience started with the booking staff repeatedly calling my daughter while she was at work to pay the bill several weeks before our stay. I can't ever remember staying in a hotel or campsite where you have to pay before even arriving. On arrival my daughter then had a lecture by a rather rude member of staff about the rules of the site and use of the hot tub. I also witnessed one of the site employees tell off some of the neighboring children for playing. When the parents asked what had happened the situation escalated with the employee threatening to remove the family. The toilet facilities were very unpleasant. They were dirty and smelly and didn't appear to be cleaned on a regular basis. I would certainly go back to Frodsham and the surrounding areas, however I would not stay at Lady Hayse again.
