Spend time with us for great pub food in a place you'll love. We serve classic dishes with a modern twist - it's the perfect place to get together with familly and friends. Built on the grounds of the old hospital, the Cheadle Royal is perfectly placed near to the Trafford Centre, Manchester Airport and John Lewis Cheadle. Our varied menu of classic dishes has something for everybody, from fish and chips and burgers, to tasty roast dinners. This restaurant is in dire need of refurbishment and a damn good dusting if not! Some of the relaxing chairs in the bar area have seen better days, the paintwork is atrocious and everything such as sockets, dado rail, lamp base etc hasn’t had a wipe down for some time! Breakfast was just ok, but chef needs to learn how to poach eggs as they were shocking. Didn’t eat and asked for fried instead.
Staying at the attached Premier Inn with family during house renovations. Came for breakfast on reopening, after having watched them spend the weeks leading up to it doing maintenance and cleaning everything. Very clean and tidy inside. Breakfast was great. Good fry up and selection of fruits, cereals and yoghurts. Coffee good too. And the measure of any hotel breakfast, fantastic croissants which came hot from the oven! Joanne who served us was great,very friendly and attentive. Was lovely when serving my young children too. Thank you! Back tomorrow :
The lunchtime menu that runs on to 6pm weekdays is excellent value. Both price and portion wise!! Table Table is not local to us but we always look for one on our travels because of the excellent value Always a friendly welcome from staff. Thanks to Maddie and Karen and the chefs Shay and Josh

Very slow service. Forty minutes wait just to get loaded nachos as a starter. A vegan burger option, on the menu, but generally a limited set of vegetarian options. Missed the only side order of the meal.for four. Music not too loud so can you can have a conversation. Staff were very good and apologetic about delay and service mix up, and made a good deduction
Absolutely shocking restaurant! We were put on a table near the back of the restaurant and were repeatedly forgotten about throughout the evening. It took us 2 and a half hours just for a main meal, a pudding and one drink we only had one drink because no body bothered to come and check on us to see if we wanted anything else. Service was so slow, and the waitress even told us herself she had forgotten we were there! Food was average but 3 of us had the pies and they were over done and the pastry was hard. We made the mistake of ordering pudding, which took a further 30 mins, and when they finally arrived the cheesecake was frozen in the middle, and our Black Forest “crownies” were mistaken for “brownies” which had to be changed, but even when they brought the right pudding there wasn’t a single bit of cherry in the middle, and there was no cookie dough at all! A real disappointment! The restaurant itself was really quiet so no excuse for the awful service, and I won’t be back In a hurry.
Went here for sunday lunch today, had to wait 40 minutes for it to hit the table,food was cold, and only had turkey the roast potatoes were frozen and dry inside, i wouldnt Recommend it to anyone and id sooner go to the chippy than eat there again
Mixed grill - poor quality food for top end prices. It was empty , now I know why . Food very poor . The standard of the mix grill was very low . No mushrooms, eggs half done . Chips were ok ,steak was like a bit of grissle , no taste to the salted chicken and sausages were just over cooked from the morning it looks like it had been reheated. The actual place needs a good clean and updating . The windows are dirty . Dust all over the place and it looks tired and dated. Service was the only good thing I can say at least the staff are polite. Parrswood gateway has a much better mixed grill for half the price. Vegetarian options: Plenty to choose from on the menu Dietary restrictions: They have all the allergies on show Parking: Put your reg in or be charged Kid-friendliness: Happy meals for kids Wheelchair accessibility: No problem built for disabled
Continental breakfast options much reduced, several items had " run out ", including brown bread, yogurts, juices etc. My cooked breakfast came with some items missing and some which I had not ordered! Staff did their best but obviously under-staffed. All in all, would not recommend - there are places nearby which are much better & much cheaper. Evening meal was mediocre and, apart from the convenience of it being next to the Premier Inn, there's not much to recommend.
I love this place. I go all the time and it never fails to please me. Today we had Kirsty, Paris and derbz serving us and they were brilliant, lively and funny Parking: Lots of space and very close parking Wheelchair accessibility: Very accessible
