I used to love this place. Although the service was a bit slow, the DJs and the cocktails were great. But I've been really put off since watching an overly aggressive bouncer pick on my mate's boyfriend (the most placid gentle guy you can imagine). The bouncer grabbed him by the neck without warning, dragged him out the door in a headlock then slammed him to the pavement and pinned him down. My job involves restraining people so I have extensive training in this, and I can tell you that what this bouncer did was completely illegal. There is no restraint training that allows you to grab people by the neck. It's very dangerous. He could have given my friend a spine or head injury, a permanent disability or cut off his oxygen supply. In any situation involving restraint, 'reasonable force' is key. My friend was literally just stood chatting and sipping his drink. He wasn't even asked or warned that he needed to step outside before he felt someone go for his neck. It was shocking to see and some of our group were in tears. He even had cuts and bruising from it. If it were me I would be pressing charges for assault. In short - I used to love this place but I won't be going back anytime I see that bouncer on the door.

We have been to Revolution this evening. The waitress showed us to our table and told us straight away that the pizza was off the menu but that was fine as we were ordering steak. She took our order and came back 5 min later to say they had run out of steak. We then ordered the fish and chips but she proceeded to tell us they had run out of fish (including fish fingers). To say we were disappointed is an understatement (especially as The Slug & Lettuce down the road from them is currently under reconstruction and they could have picked up custom from them). We then ordered the half chicken which we were very happy with - very tasty! More than anything we felt so sorry for the waitress who had to keep telling us that food was off the menu!

Great good and cocktails. Service is slow from the bar staff, unless you're a good looking lady.

Nice decoration and atmosphere. Food is tasty and enough for what you pay, so worthy.

Went on a friends birthday night out, evening ruined at 2 o clock everyone had to leave the building, no one was allowed to use the toilet before leaving (they were fenced off by chairs) so disapointed by the rude arrogant bouncers. When explained to the 35 minute taxi ride back to Chippenham "I dont care". Wont be going back.
