Friendly staff on the door and behind bar. The layout and decor is very dated and a full refurb is badly needed. Upstairs music is hit and miss, mostly miss and interspersed with N-Trance and other 90's songs. Mirrors to the dance floor walls are a terrible idea as they either remind you how drunk you are or make you feel self-conscious if you are sober. Carpeted stairs to downstairs bar need to be navigated carefully on the way down as the carpet is so thick that the stair treads are not flat. Saw many a customer tumble down them. Downstairs bar is cramped with low ceiling, really dark seating areas and is not a place where you feel you can relax as there is an atmosphere that things could go south at any moment. The same atmosphere applies to the toilets, plus it's like an ice rink when the floor gets wet, which it always does.
