I am appalled by the staff very rude I brought a wii for my daughter 2 weeks ago the disc kept getting stuck they tried telling me I couldn't have my money back which isn't right I'm complaining to head office. I can’t fault the friendliness of the staff as they are always helpful which is the only reason I’m giving it 2 stars however I have a massive problem with C.E.X and their pricing strategy, I feel as though it’s disgusting. The prices they sell hardware for bearing in mind it’s all second hand is right about brand new price! C.E.X were also really scummy when it came to the PlayStation 5 release, trying to sell on second hand PS5’s for originally £750.00!! They cost £450 brand new! I have only ever bought from them a handful of times and only ever sold there twice and that was just to get rid of items I no longer had space for nor needed. Hinckley exchange was much better for buying and selling.
Avoid. 2 year warranty means nothing, CeX Hinckley are very happy to take your money but as soon as things go wrong that’s when they bring out all the terms & conditions. 3 times I’ve ordered items of high value in this store and all 3 times they’ve been faulty. They make you wait around for an hour to test then want you to come back another day, I have work and can’t simply stroll into CeX on my day off and live alone so won’t be home to be around until CeX decide to post a replacement as it’s a large Xbox One x, as you never had a replacement in store all I asked for was a credit note to spend when in your store at a later date but no this apparently can’t be done so I taken my faulty console to Nuneaton branch and had no issues and even got an apology. Better off buying new for high value electrical items. Ps the lady serving me was lovely it was just her 4 foot Yorkshire terriers that were rude.
Bought myself an updated tablet/laptop. The staff were very helpful and spent a lot of time with me going through the best options. The standard 24 month warranty on items is a grest selling point too. I will be buying some things for Xmas in here soon.
Very helpful in here, explaining everything patiently to me, a middle aged man who still plays a PlayStation 2. Prices seemed decent compared to online and convenience of checking on their website too.
Wouldn't sell my stuff here but great place to but dvds from. I've manged to get 3 series of Red Dwarf from here for £2 however one didn't have the collectors booklet. Overall not a bad place.
I’m a fifteen year old boy I went to the shop to get the new Fifa 21 and I wanted to exchange it for one of my old games unfortunately I didn’t have the box for this game and when I tried to trade it in the man wouldn’t let me because I wasn’t old enough even though the games I wanted to trade was both my age it was the man with glasses this makes no sense as both the games where my age this is twice this has happened when me and my friends tried to buy a movie and even tho we showed Id the same guy refused to sell it us I really feel discriminated and this guy has something against me I think the shop has changed managers and is such a shame as the other guy was so friendly I don’t recommend using this shop as it has terrible customer service
Your phone must be in PERFECT condition for them to buy your phone, went in with two iPhone 7s as both myself and partner have upgraded, thought it would be easier to sell in cex than eBay even if they do pay less, however, they picked faults with anything they could, these phones are used, not new, no screens were damaged, both phones worked perfectly, apparently the cameras were misaligned? New one to me, perhaps cex should talk to Apple and tell them how to make a phone properly.... P.S the shop absolutely stinks of body odour! If you are to visit, get in and out quick, or take a gas mask with you.
