Visited this store to trade in some Xbox 360 games only for them to be all turned away because they were slightly scratched despite being completely installable and playable with no issues. Can’t fault the bloke 100% as its cex stupid rules but if that’s your attitude towards trading in then give that same level of quality when selling games. If you guys won’t accept 360 games with scratches then don’t sell games with battered cases, missing manuals and scratched discs. These are Xbox 360 games not the lost ark! SMH
SCAMMERS!! DO NOT USE CEX!!! Traded in 2 Tablets and multi phones. Given the price of £212. One of the phones had a screen protector on and was told to remove it so they can grade them properly. Took the protector off and it was in mint condition, no marks what so ever! Received an email saying is downgraded as there is a big scratch across the screen! This could only have happened by staff when handling it after we went as the staff member dealing with us said it’s like new. Now given the price of £170 Do not use these thieves! You give them mint things, they can ruin it, and reduce the price without you being able to to anything about it!
First off I wasn't in there 3 days ago and the prices are extortion more so for 3-4-5 hand stuff Knock the prices down then and Only then we can talk..

Great way to exchange my old games and take credit to put towards new ones- have been coming here for years now and cannot fault the service and friendly team. Only downside can be the queues if there are lots of people trading in a large amount. Was much better when there were separate queues in the old shop.
Not the first place I will go. If need cash fast good but they will give you very small money and sell triple or 4 times up what paid to you. Leave them for the very last option.
Always had a good experience over the years since this store opened. Recently traded in a handheld boxed console which was new and I was given the discounted price because the item was dropped on the floor by a member of staff. I don't agree with this and I will not be returning to this store in the future.
Refused to take my phone because it has marks by the charging port. Ended up listing on eBay and selling for £150. Long story short, the manager hid behind his staff members because they just didn't want to take my phone without the charger
Closed down. Update: I was referring to the Brentwood branch, not Basildon one.
