We found the Metro system to be very good during our stay. We bought a 7 day pass for zones a b and c at the airport for £28 and that covered everything we needed. The trains run regular and often, are clean and cover a large area, we used it for south shields, whitley bay and all the city. we used it more that we thought we would as we were surprised by the number of hills in the city centre. all the staff we encountered were very pleasant and helpful.
Wonderful train station with simple convient store and cafe.
Busy transport hub into the middle of Newcaatle.. busy area for drinkers and hen parties on outer public areas out side station .nCheap day ticket from South Shields allowing lots of options to visit in the area .nFrequent trains , good service.
Busy but enough space for everyone. Come in to pass time. Restaurants and shops to explore too
A wonderfully restored old train station which still maintains its original charm. Central Station is Newcastles main train station connecting Newcastle to the rest of the United kingdom.
