Car broke down on Monday evening. The fault was that I couldn't select any gears. Dropped it off on Tuesday morning. Was informed of the fault by lunchtime and collected the repaired car on Wednesday. Fast accurate diagnosis and repair. Couldn't be happier! Thanks Central Garage

I also had a very similar experience to Tilly Webster previously at the garage. He carried out unnecessary work on my car that did not need doing. When questioned about it he also became very defensive, rude and aggressive.

Very bad experience with this garage. The owner, Paul, undertook work on my car that he admitted may have been unnecessary and did not solve the problem I took it there for. He also admitted he couldn't diagnose the problem and may have to keep fixing things until the problem was solved, meaning it was a case of an open cheque book. After I explained I was not happy I'd paid for repairs that may have been unnecessary, he did not apologise or offer a concession for further repairs, he instead refused to fix the car and demanded it was picked up. As I was on my way to pick up the vehicle he phoned me to check I was coming and when I told him I was coming, he hung up on me. He was very defensive and despite me speaking to him rationally, he tried to start an argument and was extremely rude. So after having "repairs" done on two occasions, neither of which fixed the problem, he refused to do any further work on the car.
