Since the store had a refurb goods are much easier to find and clearly displayed. If you need help finding anything staff are usually very helpful.nAs supermarket shopping goes, usually a pleasant experience.
This has happened to me so often and just happened again,brought 4 coop toilet rolls £2.80 £2.00 with co-op card go to self serve scan card still £2.80 look for someone to adjust about 10 people waiting on kiosk no one else to ask so I just took the hit normally I find someone to sort it,just so jarring when it's the only shop and it's operated so amateurish,you have to check everything you buy as a lot of the time items are not properly put on promotion.
Went to purchase a bottle of Adnams spirits as a present that was on special offer. The lady at the self service tills checkout was friendly enough to start with, it came up full price which was about £7 more than the offer. Told I need to use the coop card, I tried to swipe my east of England card and was told not that one, so tried the blue co-op card; not that one either and told I needed a honeycomb card. I said I didn't have that so I'd have to leave it which tbh was fine but then I got the full snotty nosed roll of the eyes treatment and no longer spoke to me. I rarely leave a bad review like this but it's just not necessary I was at no point impolite. I was already having some coffee and a bite to eat in the insomnia cafe which has the good point of being open until 7pm.
WELL DONE CO OP!nI needed to know if they sell E5 petrol here. I rang, fully expecting the same service that you get at Tesco, Morrisons, etc which is they've made it impossible to talk to a human. But no, a young lady who clearly works there, not only answered, but even knew which pumps dispensed E5!n10 out of 10 for customer service in these couldn't care less days of zero public facing customer service.
I went to this store on Sunday 2/10 I was only going for three items so didn't get a basket as my 15yr old grandson was with me and could carry items to till. I got bottle of soda water, bottle of tonic water and can of monster,which he carried to the till for me, when the shop assistant went to put them through the till she challenged my grandson for ID I explained they we're mine but she refused to let me buy the can of monster as ' he had touched it' I was embarrassed and angry I would have expected him to be refused if it was for him and he was on his own,but wasn't I was with him the whole time and it was my shopping he was helping me. I went to the garage and bought it there. I will think twice before going to store again.
