I went into Tescoes this evening and purchased a sleep suit for a newborn, a thermometer for baby which had a security tab on and I asked the young man to remove it after I paid and he checked my receipt and all in order. As I went out the alarms sounded and the security man followed me and asked me about my shopping. I said I had paid for all items. They asked me for my receipt and looked at my purchases. The problem was the babies milk had security tags. I also purchased some underwear that they had taken out of the package to check. Now who is responsible for checking security tags?. I felt awful. I am nearly 70 and have never been treated like this before. I received no apologies when everything was paid for. I do not believe it is my job to search for tags but on self checkout there is only one person and he was trying his best and did take the visible tag off when I requested. I will not shop in Tescoes if it's their policy to treat innocent people like they are guilty. But my good name is more important to me and always will be. I am a very unhappy tesco shopper. Very shoddy treatment. I went into Tesco's today and discussed my unhappiness about the way I was treated. I was assisted by Lyinda. I found her to be extremely understanding especially when I told her they had taken out a pair of pants from the pack. I told her I had no apology from them and felt really violated. Well done to both staff who understood my concerns and restored my faith. I was made to feel guilty and not even apologised to when everything was clearly pad for. Thank you.
I needed to use the loos. Both the disabled & ladies were filthy. Whoever JL is on the cleaning check needs to learn how to clean or go to Specsavers. Worst Tesco's toilets overy ever used. I'm not posting photos of the poo splattered bowls & toilet paper over there floor in the disabled loo.
I would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the staff on customer services yesterday.nI did not realise that saving stamps had to be used by 31st December, although they did extend them by 2 months.nThe staff sorted it out without any queries and I now have a gift card for the exact value to spend in store.nTHANK YOU AGAIN TESCO BECCLES.
The store is well laid out and the staff are friendly.
This is my favourite Tesco store although I live several miles away. I usually find it easy to get a good plentiful shop on my visits and only a few times found some items not in stock. I like the layout of the premises and the fact that there is Tesco mobile shop in the store which is where I purchase a new phone about once in every three years on average. I've always had good service so the visits have been a pleasant experience.
