A small museum but packed full of interesting things. We did manage to occupy a whole day here. Workshops were an additional cost, we did a soap making one which my daughter loved. Cafe was basic but good value. Was very quiet when we visited which meant we had the run of the place!

Lots of science and technology to learn about for all ages but especially for kids. We really enjoyed our visit to Catalyst and would definitely recommend it. There are plenty of things to try out for kids from giant hydraulics to solar powered planes. The workshop about light and the Universe was very interesting too and best to book when you arrive as places go fast due to popularity. We also had a fascinating chat with the Mersey Gateway team about the bridge. They explained how it was built, how its maintained and demonstrated a section of one of the massive cables that hold up the deck. Including lunch our visit was just over four and a half hours, but we probably could have stayed longer.

The Catalyst is a great place to bring younger kids. It is very informative and interesting. We paid extra for a soap making session, which was thoroughly enjoyable. The kids loved the glass observatory and the educational games downstairs. We would come back, but older kids may not enjoy it as much.

Slightly disappointed on this visit. We have been here before but on this occasion half the interactive exhibits were broken. Other than that it's a good place to entertain and educate the kids

has been updated since I was last here , spent ages in the puzzle room . lots of interesting things to look at and touch . it's a nice change being in a museum where it is interactive ideal for kids of all ages there is a little cafe and a gift shop on site and lots of grounds to explore
