Lovely stay at a lovely hotel. The room was just right for us and showed how the staff had listened to our request, as my wife has an issue with mobility. The bed was comfortable food delish; especially the eggs, whether poached or fried, they were perfect. Delicious local ales and known brands in the pub, which was a real treat. I ordered a portion of chips that were ever so crisp and delicious, but I did not have enough stomach space to consume them all! The staff are exceptional and more than helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed our short stay here and will happily stay again. The breakfasts though, oh they are divine!
This was the dream stay. Surprise hen party, visiting Brighton and 6 of us stayed and we were blown away with the service, the hotel itself, the food, the atmosphere, it was utter perfection. My whole experience at the hotel was amazing, from meeting and greeting, to the room which was beautiful, decorated by staff for my hen weekend, the paintings throughout, the garden, the parking...just perfect. Thank you for the most amazing stay Rooms: Our room was a triple single, comfy beds, beautiful bathroom, plenty of tea and coffee, lovely light and airy. Food & drinks: Breakfast was amazing, plenty to chose from, really amazing flavour and cooked beautifully, staff were so accommodating and friendly Noteworthy details: There is a disabled bay, disabled toilet downstairs, the bar is beautiful, restaurant was lovely, staff were incredible
Stayed in a garden room with dog while walking the South Downs Way. The room had an AC unit which was super useful for drying clothes, but there was insufficient hanging space. The food was excellent and the service good. Would have stayed another night but they didn't have space.Rooms: 4/5
Amazing! The team was excellent, especially with the kids! No questiens remained unanswered! Quick and friendly service and the area was also nice for long walks and visiting the old castle grounds. The rooms were considered a bit small by some, I found it just brilliant and cosy! And, as mentioned already: The team was just excellent! Always again!

Everything was good, the rooms, the reception, the service and the breakfast. I would only like the staircase handrails to be usable all the way to the second floor a part was too close to the wall to fit one's fingers.Rooms: 5/5
The Bathroom was a decent size, however there was No Bath Mat,No Hand Rail in the Shower.Very slippery if wobbly on feet! The Need Large Bath Towels.Power Showers should be Installed. Breakfast was very Poor, Toaster not working properly,water for Tea and coffee not Boiling Hot. No fresh Fruit or Danish pastries. Orders for Main Course should Arrive after you have finished starter,Not Whilst Still Bedroom -Twin Beds Unsuitable for Adults only 2ft6 wide. Stairs upto Bedroom Very Dangerous,No handrail on Both sides Upto Top. Value for money Very Poor. Didn't get any sleep all night Due to Bad Beds.
Great stay, clean warm rooms with loads of hot water. The breakfasts and evening meals were superb and the service was friendly and efficient.
A good value stay with helpful staff. Highlight is personalised breakfast. Eggs Benedict delicious. Far, far superior to the usual offer for an overnight stay.
Place looks vary well run but fo me no feel to it and if you smoke your made to feel like a leper.
