I will forever adore this place. Hope it stays it's beautiful self forever! Wonderful walking trails and great for running the dogs out too, can be off lead provided you clean up after them and they behave themselves. Nice picnic area and visitors center is open during the summer (I think) which has some facilities too. Good car park if you are coming from afar, usually pretty quiet.

Beautiful walk in the winter, saw female deer 🦌 in front of me on the path! What a site at close quarters! Lots of grey squirrels to see and the odd rare sighting of a red so I, m told! Found four foot icicles encasing vivid green ivy hanging from the limestone cliffs! Dense, yew trees overhang to give a dusky light that somehow calms the sole!

A lovely tranquil place with two circular walks many other entrances from local neighbourhoods. Many scenic views and varied wildlife. Squirrels and owls are in abundance, dear are a rare but occasional sight. Some of the pathways can be difficult in the wet.

Laid out beautifully and with a few centuries of history, explained if you want to find out. This is a huge nature reserve stretching from the sea for miles. Rightly popular. Go to the Castle Eden Inn for lunch afterwards
