Little selection of shops. A Primark would definitely make all the difference. But, would put other clothes shops out of business. The only two shops I visit are, Wilkinson and Asda.

After living in Peterlee for over 60 years I now feel that the town Centre is in steep decline and very depressing (especially at Christmas) .Obviously rental must be too expensive for for independent shops ,and parking doesn't encourage anyone to spend time there, especially if appointments are to be met at doctors , dentists, hairdressers, library etc.as can't return to parks within certain time. Lee House a depressing and badly maintained sight ( and yes even the clock has given up) so it seems there's no attempt to encourage businesses or local organisations to fill office space.. Since dissolution of Peterlee corporation whole town in decline.Seaham now seems to have more investment and many Peterlee residents travel out of town to shop.A very sad result to a once promising venture.

Very limited range of shops. Mainly consists of charity shops, banks and cafés. Needs a lot of investment. There is also parking time restrictions which is a scam. Staff keep the area around the shops clean and security staff are very good at their jobs. This centre services many towns but you will find that it is mainly unemployed people that spend their benefits down there.

Not the same as it once was very dull these days probably due to high rent and little business

Not a lot to say really, the shops in the town centre are pretty good they offer a wide range of goods for sale. But the town centre it's self is run down. What it needs is a massive revamp. We all know money is tight but in order to keep the good shops we have the people who own the town centre need to support them in everyway possible. If not we could see more of the big names moving to pastures new.
