I have a great mechanic and local MOT test centre guy, both have 5* to show their excellence (hint, hint). Forced to live next to the Renter from Hell for 5 months: Their kids scream most of the day 7am – 9pm (a little less now). 3 months ago they got this kitchen safety gate that goes “clang” (59.4dBA) every time they use it. This gate goes “clang” up to 50 times per hour (kids use it as a toy) everyday. Trying to watch TV is a nightmare between the continues gate clangs and screaming kids. Basically we are not allowed to rest in our own home (mortgaged). We are not allowed to sleep either as this gate clangs from 7am in the mornings. I was personally assured by the MD that this won’t happen again in the mornings, ha, ha what a joke still happening.  I feel like a 3rd rate citizen in a 3rd world country here. I don’t even own my home as the renter and agent rule here. Last time we had 2 ½ months howling dog for 1-4 hours twice a week. They say we are different and care, yeh right.

1 star is too much! 
Failed to attend property meeting.  When I called them, the agent said they had been to the address and no one was there.  I asked the address, which was the wrong number and they had changed to street or road?
They did have the postcode which they could have used  to check against as I always give this phonetically to avoid confusion. Or indeed the area of the town as I had given that also. Which at the time of booking had been discussed as potentially someone was looking for a property in that area.
I asked "Why did you not call me then if you were unable to locate my property? " 
They proceeded to reel off my mobile number with extra digits in. Surely they could have checked against their phone system as everyone else I've spoken to has the number come up on their system.
So many incompetent errors.
First impressions count, if you can't handle administering a phone call, what chance have I got of you managing a property. No thank you.

I can only agree with the previous review. One star is too much. Let me tell you a story. Please bare in mind I am an estate agent by trade and have worked in the rental industry for 4 years. Keeping that in mind I was compleatly shocked at how poorley I was handled as an applicant for a property I asked the landlord a simple question. would he accept 6 months rent in advance now, Most landlords would jump at this chance as it takes away alot of the stresses of a landlord to know you already have your rent money and you do not haveto chase it every month. it took around about 3 days to get an answer to that question. I understand landlords are busy people and I accepted this as the answer was in my favour. I then recivie a phone call asking me for more details about my personal life and finicial situation which I agreed. I was under the impression the landlord had accepted my offer as he had previously said payin 6 months upfront was fine. I then veiwed the property it did have everything i was looking for so i wanted to proceed I was told we will double check with the landlord and then we could move on. we were looking at times and dates for moving in. Then as i was exepting a phone call to arrange a time to pick up the keys and pay the mass some of money. the agent then told me the landlord has requested a guarentor. now if I was renting this proeprty normally through the normal way I would expect this but if you pay all of the rent before you move into a property you have the bond you have every penny you are owed upfront yet this landlord or the agent wanted more personal details of my family or friends or they wanted more money for a pointless reason. Surfice to say when they asked me for the guarentor I withdrew the application. This estate agents are just money grabbers trying to charge you very high rates for no reason what so ever. I can tell you how much it actully costs them to type up an agreement and its certainly not 250 pounds all you are paying for is a letter head that is it.  So further more I  will not be using this agent in the future and I Would strongly consider for all future landlords or tenants for that matter exhaust every other option before using this company my advice would be for the smaller family run private estate agents who treat you like human beings and not just bank accounts. the thing that bothers me the most is that I knew they were trying to take my money for no reason the next person might not. So I hope I can save someone a little bit of stress and money by reading this review. I worked for Connells Estate Agents and Hinckley Real Estates. I know what im talking about. I hope this helps other people.
