The fitters Carpetright uses are great, did an excellent job and were very friendly. However, this shop in Potters Bar delivered an appalling customer service. There was no communication at any time! I took a day off for the fitter to come round and no one showed up. After having to call the shop a few times to check I was told the fitter didn't come into work that day - I understand this happens but surely you can let me know about this in the morning. On the day of the fitting I had to call around midday what time they would come as I hadn't heard a single thing by then. I was then told that the hours notice I requested (I moved away from the property the carpet was to be fitted in) was not mentioned on my booking. The two stars are only there because the fitters and 3rd party people did such an excellent job. Avoid this shop and find another and you might be fine.

Terrible prices. Not great service. Rushed by lady in store. Quoted the incorrect underlay. When the received quote after rooms bring measure, I was called by them and I explained I have looked and the same underlay and carpet are SOOO much cheaper elsewhere and on the internet, lady said that's their price so don't proceed. Quite rude! They are severely overpriced and I shall not be purchasing anything from them.

We asked to borrow a sample square of carpet which the very pleasant Indian lady kindly allowed. The following day my husband returned it & spoke to the same lady about the costs involved. He asked if the advertised 25% discount was still valid, when another assistant shouted rather rudely across the store saying it was 20% now, the 25% no longer applied. He questioned why the 25% was still on the samples if they were no longer valid. Glowering at him as he left making my husband feel very uncomfortable. Her attitude was so unexpectedly blunt & rude, I now don't want to purchase any carpet. I wouldn't do business with any company whose staff think it's acceptable to treat customers like this.
