*Please read* Used carpet right to carpet the house, to be honest the contractor did a good job laying the carpet. The reason why this is one star review is due to the following. The salesmen The contractor The after sales The salesmen - Underlay is unbelievably expensive at carpet right. I managed to source cheaper and better “top of the range” underlay from the factory itself. Found it by simply googling it. I saved £740 on the underlay alone. The salesman at the Dunfermline store then really tried to scaremonger me into buying their underlay saying, it will not meet British standard and the carpet layers will not lay the carpet. They laid the carpet ontop of my British standard underlay, hence reason for a pushy scaremongering salesman. The contractor - Laid carpet as should, can’t fault them but kept forgetting floor bars. 6 phonecalls and 2 months later were still at square one. You may argue it’s not carpetrights fault but at the end of the day carpetright are providing the service. We kept getting fobbed off on the phone so decided to go into store. The aftersales - We went into store in a respectful manner, not going in all guns blazing which we probably should of, 2 weeks ago. We asked what is actually happening and we want a conclusion today. The conclusion was that laminate flooring wasn’t laid correctly, (I used a joiner of 30+ years to lay it and was laid flawlessly and to my standard) so I defended him a bit, and came to a later conclusion that it would of cost the contractor more money to come lay the floor bars than what he’d be making so they’ve fobbed it off. So to make light of it, I mentioned that to refund me for the bars and their labour and I’ll buy the beading and bars off them and I’ll do it myself to save time and a lot of messing about. That was 2 weeks ago. No delivery has been attempted, no phonecalls saying to come collect absolutely nothing. That’s 2 weeks. Silly me gave them another chance which I’m starting to regret. Will be popping in store today to get to the bottom of this, wasting time which I could be investing elsewhere. We’re all entitled to our own opinion and carpetright may be the best company around for this but unfortunately not in my opinion. my opinion would be if your using carpet right for your house, try elsewhere you’ll certainly get it cheaper, better service and a lot quicker, spending 1000s on your beloved home and what could be a very stressful time anyway could be made a lot less stressful using someone else.

From 25/02/18 to 11/04/18 only for see my carpet on stairs ... Very long job for 13 step... Useless sales advisor chick fitters .... NEVER AGAIN

This store has stock of a rug I am looking for - it is an end of line, so I was particularly pleased to hear they had it in stock. Once they knew I wanted it, they took email and phone details AND increased the price of the rug by 100%!!! Apparently, this branch had a new container delivered.... Strange it isn't online, though - isn't it?!

This company should be called CarpetWRONG. Managed to get me the wrong floor, TWICE, causing me to waste a lot of time. Eventually asked to get my money back which I had to go to the shop for- AGAIN! Considering this, I find it very hard to believe that this company could actually make a business from selling the floor I ordered and it seems to me that anyone ordering the "wrong" product will be put on hold indefinitely with lots of waiting accompanied by excuses and apologies when you get a different product than ordered. In my opinion this is a completely unethical strategy and a very poor model of business.
