Used this walk in centre for the first time yesterday. The care my son received from the lovely nurse practitioner was fabulous. Even though the waiting room was very busy and it was coming to the end of her long shift, she greeted us with a huge smile and was so kind, caring, reassuring and empathetic. She is a credit to the team and to her profession. Thank you!
Excellent care received today for my infant daughter, who was refused an emergency visit by her GP at Velens Medical Group. Luckily this is a great service. There was a wait to see a GP but this is to be expected.
My wife received friendly, prompt and efficient service when she visited the centre today for treatment on a badly cut finger.
Really grateful for the great care, service and treatment I received today for an infection during a stay in Northumberland. We are very lucky to have our NHS in this country and all the dedicated staff. Thank you!
I've only given it one start because couldn't post a review with less ! total waste of time . waited over 2hours to be told we only deal with nose bleeds and cuts and bruise's. I was in lots of pain ! sweating and vomiting ! doctor looked at me with hands on hips and said go to your doctor. without even trying to help, I complained at the desk on way out and they were cheeky!!! they told me we don't turn anyone away until they see a doctor , but the doctor taken one look at me and said go to your doctor,s after sitting in pain for 2hours, I could do more with my own first aid kit at home than they offer. SHOCKED HOW POOR THIS EXPERIENCE WAS !!!!! DANGEROUS LEAVING PEOPLE IN PAIN FOR HOURS THEN SENDING THEM AWAY DOUBLED OVER HARDLY ABLE TO WALK !!!!!
Dear Northumbria Trust, You have some wonderful and professional practitioners. However, your walk in service is not a walk in service, You need a 111 appointment, This is misleading to the general public. Ponteland road service is much more efficient.You do not offer a walk in service . I have been turned away twice . I live in Morpeth and required the service for two of my family in the last year.We turned up and told phone 111 and come back at a specified time. Not good enough for Northumberland. Please review your advertising as this could cost somebody who is ill. From now on we will go to Newcastle.
1st visit told waiting 40 mins, Waited 1 hour & 40 mins asked about waiting told 40 mins. Told them cant wait was told your not ill then? Told them I need to spend my time with my Mother on end of life care and left. 2nd time couple of weeks later went back Dr gave me a leaflet and told me to go to clinic. Was out of date clinic not been there for 2 years. 3rd and last time Not happy with attitude of reception and no privacy and not happy with attitude of staff Nurse who must have been having a bad day.
