A great place to get off the train, as it puts you right at the start of Queen Street. I’ve used this station many times to avoid walking through the city alone late at night and to take sunrise photos at the Bay. The station has a really nice design, and there are rarely any train delays, which is a big plusnnNormally, getting through the barriers is straightforward. However, I’ve had a couple of disappointing experiences with staff who were rude on two occasions due to their ticket machine failing to scan a valid ticket that I had paid for
Great location for Cardiff City Centre, and changing trains here seemed efficient, plenty of information. There is a coffee shop and toilets. Frequent trains to lots of local destinations, but to get onto the mainline you have to change at Cardiff Central. Everything seemed in order and well-run.
Heading to Cardiff Bay by train, I found the ticket machine process to be straightforward for purchasing my ticket. The staff were friendly and readily available to assist with directions or train information if needed.
Got a disability at moment from a illness but I come a lot through station I’m from treforest area got operation coming up now in October that’s why I don’t complain because of my voice issue but you have girls just sitting there on station about my age chatting to each other about you whilst you go through the gate looking at you like there better than you, you work in tfw doesn’t happen in Cardiff central station only happens here & Ponty one, I hope they keep it up after my op staring at me like there better than me because I’ll be asking the managers why there’s young girls always on the gates feels weird going past it wouldn’t come here with family members who ever in charge needs sacking
Too many electric bicycles, I actually got hit by one today who did not stop and i have substantial bruises on my arm from it, he did not give any warning and continued so fast he could not stop, i am both shocked and saddened that this is not attended to in Cardiff City centre, no police about to report it to. Disappointing
