Always nice to visit. Staff, especially the managed Simon, all very nice and welcoming. Food good. Views amazing despite the current construction outside. There's quite a wait at busy periods but that's exspected anywhere at prime time.

Friendly atmosphere with good set menu deals.
Children's menu has changed so n9 longer able to pick and choose side dishes on a colourful menu that appealed to younger children , that aside though, the children's meals are sufficient for under 9's as portions would be too small for most aged 10+ children.
Shame music nights are no longer available as that brought many locals up and in of a Saturday night and was quite popular.
Summer time it's main attraction is the beautiful view over the bay.
DOWNSIDE.....
No outdoor play area for little children, really does need a small area even if it's just a small climbing/slide area or a sand pit area in the summer.
It's a family orientated atmosphere yet nothing for the children to do outside 🤔😣.
Many parents are drawn to pubs that have a play area outside for their children to make use of and I feel The Carclaze is missing this completely.

Evening meals were average. Was not asked if french fries or chips preferred, just received what came. Breakfast had to wait for various items, by which time other things either got cold or eaten. On the good side. The staff were helpful & did there best. But it needs a shake up to compete with other Premier sites

Dined here whilst staying at the Premier Inn adjacent for one night. Nice enough pub but was left ‘waiting to be seated’ for five minutes. Had to ask at the bar for a table. The ‘meal deal’ customers were all seated in the back of the restaurant next to 6 screaming young children. Forty minute wait for food to top things off! Rubbish pint too.

Award winning pie, not really, more of a joke. Returned a couple of meals, food not good enough. Good beer though.
