ll our lavishly decorated standard and en suite rooms are centrally heated, with tea and coffee making facilities. Children are very welcome with well behaved adults!
We have a beautiful tea garden, a real sun trap in which to sit and enjoy a famous Devonshire Cream Tea whilst relaxing with sounds of the river’s babbling in the background and marvelling at the magnificent scenery and pretty flowers. Treat yourself to our mouthwatering freshly baked scones with jam and lashings of farmhouse clotted cream – mmm, wickedly delicious!
After a Captain’s House full English breakfast we can supply packed lunches to take with you whilst you go exploring the quiet lanes with a rich tapestry of country life unfolding before you.
Limited car parking is available adjacent, free for visitors staying at the Captain’s House; there is also public parking along with a bus stop, just a short stroll over the river.
The Captain’s House is a mere two minute level walk to the select shops of our olde-worlde smugglers village with enchanting harbour. A wide range of inns and restaurants cater for all tastes and pockets.
