Camping in Nature at Vallis Veg

I love this site, Been 5-6 times now, pitch 14 is favourite. Well run and set out. Compost toilets, fire wood available and seasonal veg. A short walk into Frome if you want to dine out. Wheelbarrow provided to take your tent etc yo your pitch.

Such a glorious weekend. Beautiful surroundings, lovely walking and some amazing bird encounters including a barn owl hunting in the field next door. Basic but wonderful - exactly what we needed. Will definitely be back.

Though I have not stayed here have visited site and met many of their customers. Love the principles of the owners and the sympathetic approach they have adopted to running their site and other businesses they have. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Frome or walking and cycle touring in the Mendips.

This is an amazing camp site to visit. There are a couple sites with full A-frame's that are full equipped with tarps over the seating and fire pit. There is potable water, wash up sinks, toilets, and a bucket shower in a communal stand. The owners also have a stack of firewood for purchase onsite to make your life even easier. Just on the outskirts of Frome, there is grocery and whatever else you need to pick up once you pitch your tent. I would absolutely return, probably the best car camping experience you can get within 3 hrs of London.

Awesome place very quiet and peaceful. Loved the bucket baths after a hot day!

Fantastic place, so tranquil and private, clearly very eco focused, and a great place to switch off from the modern world. Will definitely return one day. Not for those who expect to be glamping!

Lovely surroundings and tidy pitches. We enjoyed the location. The facilities are simple as advertised. We would have liked to have seen some hot water for washing up.

Wonderful little plot just next to Frome. Headed here for a one night with my eldest, great for her to experience a back to basics and minimal site. Lovely to hear the owls too!

Very well organised camping site. Our pitch with covered fire was a godsend as UK weather is unpredictable.

Beautiful campsite with individual pitches located in amongst the trees. This is proper camping at its best.
