A very pleasant and we'll equipped youth hostel. I stayed here with a group of friends over four days to undertake a winter skills training course in the mountains, and found the facilities to all be excellent. The hostel has a large, well equipped kitchen, a good sized drying room (which we were all very thankful for) and a common room with a selection of films on VCR and a pool table. We find the bedrooms to be a good size, and the provided bedding was warm, clean and soft; just what's needed after a long day on the hills. The showers were a weak point, as the water pressure in a few of them left much to be desired, but overall this is a great place to stay if visiting the area.

Extremely welcoming and helpful staff. Comfortable beds. Excellent location for Cairngorm Mountain ski resort and other local outdoor activities.

Excellent, large portions of food. Lovely location, and friendly staff. Good bar across the road. No fault of the hostel but don't rely on having internet at the hostel.

This location is very clean and cozy. A lot of good hiking trails start just at the front door. Met great people there. The wifi is slow but I guess you can expect that when you are far in the woods.
