It’s 15:45 on a Friday afternoon. I walked in to the branch to order an espresso. The door was open and as far as I was concerned so was the business, but no. I was greeted with ‘we’re closed!’, to which I must have looked surprised, and before I could apologise, the lady mentioned that she thought it would have been pretty obvious to me that they were not open. Having just walked in the unlocked door, it clearly wasn’t. Her tone was abrupt and rude. I didn’t see a ‘closed’ sign and it is unusual for a branch of Nero to be closed at this time of day. I was shocked at her tone. I have upped my rating from one star to two because it might be a fun place to sit and see how she treats other customers for entertainment.

Stopped here once for the need of shelter from the rain. Warm cosy atmosphere which makes up for the lack of scenery. I don't buy food here like at all coffee shops as I find it's expensive and not as tasty. There are supermarkets and restaurants galore in Henley I use them. Would go again though.

elegant understated Nero in Henley-on-Thames, you need to walk down Bell St and there you shall find it. plenty of locals enjoying a Monday morning coffee like a young lady with red suede court shoes and a rumpusterous gentleman in unbuttoned striped shirt. classical music alongside a strong hot black Americano before moving on to Starbucks.

Good coffee, tea and cold drinks. I have americano with soya milk. My wife drinks hot chocolate. Hot and cold sandwiches, cakes and biscuits. Cosy atmosphere. Busy by the bar but with quiet corners. Very friendly and helpful staff. Free Times newspapers, so we sit and do the codeword. Our favourite seat is by the window to watch the activity in busy Bell Street. There's a toilet.
