**Review for Piccolino Caffé Grande, Manchester** I recently visited Piccolino Caffé Grande in Manchester and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. Firstly, the restaurant is much grander than I anticipated. The elegant decor, with its high ceilings and tasteful Art Deco styling, creates a sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere. The service was exceptional. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made me feel right at home. They were attentive without being intrusive, which added to the overall pleasant experience. Now, onto the food. The sweets were a highlight for me. They offer a delightful selection of desserts that are beautifully presented and taste as good as they look. I particularly enjoyed the tiramisu, which was rich and creamy, and the chocolate fondant, which was perfectly gooey on the inside. Overall, Piccolino Caffé Grande exceeded my expectations. It's a fantastic place for a special occasion or just a nice meal out. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for great Italian food in a stylish settings.
Came in around 7pm on a Tuesday and it was packed with a wait of upwards of 40 minutes. However, the bar was open and serving both food and drinks, so my guest and I opted for that, which couldn’t have been a better decision. The bartenders were so friendly and charismatic. It was nice to get a little bartending “show” and hear them joke with each other in Italian. They were enjoying themselves, which sets the tone for the restaurant. The food was amazing — had a few salads, lasagne, and risotto, along with some wine and a mocktail. All were delicious and generous in portion. Service was friendly and quick, impressive considering they were also tending to the bar. This may sound strange, but it was nice to be at the bar and still feel like part of the restaurant. This was a highlight of my time in Manchester.
Came to piccolino after my daughter's graduation late afternoon. The staff were great, friendly and courteous. They made several options available to us when menu items were unavailable and adapted one of the orders to suit, which was nice. Complementary fizz for all the guests on the graduate experience which was also really nice. The food was lovely and good portions. We had a large round table and it was perfect for our group. Would recommend.
Terrific place, beautiful decor, wonderful food, amazing team! Family friendly atmosphere here, so helpful with the choices, excellent dining choices. I go into Manchester a couple of times a year but this is an essential visit for some top quality Italian cuisine! Five stars, heartily recommended.Food: 5/5
Piccolino offers great selection of Italian food and Italian wine. It is a great spot to get your Italian fix in Manchester. No parking around, as the restaurant is located around the downtown area. There are limited parking options around too. So Uber, Taxi or walk. Please make reservations ahead of time as the spot seems to be pretty popular, you will experience 30 mins wait if you are walk in like me, depending on the time of the day of course. The food tastes great, tons of flavor, slightly on the light side on seasoning to bring out the nature taste of the food. Love the sea bass, crispy skin, tender fresh and moist. As I mentioned, it is a pretty busy place, so it might get a bit rowdy. Just FYi
Super clean and sparkling. Top knoch waiting personnel. Efficient & Fast as one would expect at a reputable establishment. CAFÉ GRANDE is no run of the mill eatery. A place to see and be seen. Top marks for eloquence and panache. It's a perfect place for that special proposal. Food: 3/5
Amazing. I came here yesterday to celebrate my friend's birthday and the service we received was absolutely wonderful! The food was 10/10, especially the lasagne and spaghetti carbonara. The staff were so kind and hospitable, and they sang 'Happy Birthday' with such enthusiasm the best I've ever seen at any restaurant! which made the day feel so much more special. Thank you for giving us an incredible experience!

Had a wonderful evening here. Great atmosphere, classy environment, excellent service, wonderful food & drink. We started with some nicely made negronis at the bar before moving to our table, where we enjoyed a spritz and a Bellini to go with our antipasti. Appreciated our brilliant waiter, Jose, who gave plenty of advice on what to order. We decided to split one of the pasta dishes to follow our antipasti - a truffle and pecorino dish which was fantastic. For our mains we went for the duck and orange, and the sea bream - both very good! Desserts were lovely too, shared the excellent tiramisu and a choux bun with chocolate ice-cream. So good! Many many wines to choose from, ranging from affordable to extravagant we went with 'affordable' and were not dissatisfied at all with our choice. Thanks to the team and to Jose in particular for making our visit memorable and enjoyable
Outstanding food, it really was. The presentation, the taste, and the portions are all just perfect. A great atmosphere, even though it was busy, you could still hear yourself.Food: 5/5
