If you ever been to a Cafe Rouge before you'll know the experience doesn't tend to differ greatly from one to another. However, that is no bad thing. The Cafe Rouge at Gunwharf is ideally situated, far enough away from the outlets so you can dine in peace and tranquility looking out over the harbour. Couple this idyllic scenery with a fantastical french menu, everything from light bites and sandwiches to classic cuisine, there is something to suit every taste. Staff are kind, courteous and attentive and the menu is reasonably priced. Worth a visit.

Lovely French restaurant. Food and service excellent. One problem is the few steps inside. I'm not registered disabled although I can manage stairs with difficulty, going up better than going down. I tried the disabled door to find it locked. Told by someone sitting near I would have to ask a member of staff to open door. They were busy and I didn't want to bother them so struggled down the stairs. That hasn't put us of and will be back again. Maybe sit in the lower part.

Sat in cafe rouge as I write this,celebrating my birthday with the hubby. I can honestly say the best meal I have had out in, well ever! (we eat out a lot). Fillet steak for once was cooked just how I asked for it. Beautiful. Waitress was so welcoming and also found no difficulty in me asking for a drink not even on the menu. So friendly will definitely be coming again.

Went there for breakfast with some friends. Had their Rouge Breakfast which is like a standard Full English. It was very tasty. For a tenner you get the breakfast, juice and a coffee. The coffee was quite nice and strong.

Love the place, food, service and location in Gunwharf. Only not 5 stars as some desserts were small.. Delicious all the same
