One of my favourite places to be in Bristol. Whether it’s working remotely during the day, eating dinner or dancing to a band. The canteen has it all. The food feels like it is made with love - a really creative and delicious variety.
Delicious food! I had the sticky bang bang tempeh! Yummy! Salad was good too! It was a jam session tonight and sometimes it was the house band jamming and other times others got to be on stage to jam. Good vibe. Good fun!
Came here for dinner and drinks and it was exceptional. All veggie/vegan but super indulgent and delicious. The BBQ tempeh was a hilight, even if you don’t like tempeh! Staff are lovely, good array of drinks and good value for money too. I love their live bands every night as well!Recommended dishesHouse Bread, Gochujang Tempeh Wings
Had our Christmas party at The Canteen this week. Food was delicious and service was excellent. Fantastic value for money as well
Great Bristol vibes, great setup if you want to chill and chat outside or dance to the music inside. Recently also tried some of their food and their hummus and bread was particularly good! I’m keen to try the rest of their dishes
I’ve been coming here for the music for years and decided to try the food today. It was incredible! There’s always a nice vibe whether you’re going for quiet studying with a coffee, a meal or a gig.
We were in England for 2 weeks and this was easily our favourite restaurant! The seasonal menu was perfect, we ate 8 different dishes and left full but not stuffed aka the fatigue from non-vegetarian/vegan food, and we still talk about this place 4 months later. Highly recommend.
Great food and a lively atmosphere. There were 7 of us, we were well looked after and would highly recommend, will go back next time we're in BristolFood: 4/5
This is my current favourite spot for studying: good coffee, free wifi, lots of tables and some sockets on the window seats. It's also a nice place to get a pint with friends. Only drawback is that the toilets are often dirty, otherwise would give 5 stars.
I absolutely love this independent community centre. Really artistic, with loads of activities and events. Also great place for going out for drinks, meeting new people and networking with other artists. I wish that it remains there and keeps on promoting great artistic movements and workshops. You should definitely pass by for a drink or something if you are walking around Stokes Croft. Amazing vibes and lovely people
