EDIT Thanks to the original owner for reaching out below. Looking forward to being a regular customer again, please let us know when you are open and the address/contact number. ORIGINAL REVIEW As reviews all over have stated, Cafe Istanbul has now been taken over. Cafe Istanbul used to be a very popular takeaway, family owned and serving home cooked food. They were then taken over and the new owners completely changed the menu, it's utter garbage. Nothing new there then, it happens all the time, but..... .....despite the new owners still regularly distributing a Cafe Istanbul menu that looks like the very distinctive original one, it isn't actually Cafe Istanbul, it's Pizza Town. The shop has been rebranded as Pizza Town, on Just Eat it's Pizza Town, if you ring the number on the Cafe Istanbul menu the answer at the other end states Pizza Town. What they are doing is use the excellent reputation that Cafe Istanbul had and try and get you to order their garbage. Con artists of the highest order, pretending to be one business and serving you from their own business should not be allowed.

Worst kebab shop in redcar the old owners were bang on, food was class 5* I don't no why they changed everything they must be getting the supplies cheaper else where but you can tell it's rubbish now DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANYTHING

The food is SO good! The chips are seasoned to perfection, sometimes a bit too much but that's how I like my chips, the kebab meat is amazing, the chargrilled chicken is amazing, and the salad is also amazing. This place definitely has my five stars because it's absolutely delicious. 👌🏻5⃣
