I've been passing here for ages and thanks to my niece I finally got to visit. We went on a Sunday, and even though the weather wasn't brilliant it was still very busy, inside and outside. Service was very pleasant given how busy they were, only a short wait to place our order but the food arrived in good time. It's a lovely location with plenty of history. Whilst they have a large car park it can get a bit packed on nicer days, people use it as a start point for canal side walks. The food we had was good but my niece was a bit disappointed by the very small selection of sweets. A small but varied selection of bottled real ales was a pleasant surprise. Dogs welcome. High chairs available for small children.

Allows dogs in which is great for us. Lovely location, and a very popular stop gap for walkers and cyclists alike. I just feel they don't make the most of the opportunity. It's been the same menu for at least 9 years, it's looking very tired and needs updating, staff are pleasant enough, but don't go out of their way, and the toilets are old with hand dryers that don't work!

Cosy atmosphere with a wide range of drinks, coffee and food. Love the shabby sheek decor and the views.

The food is delicious. I would reccomend the rarebit. Staff are really friendly and the surroundings are lovely

Cheese n onion pie delicious!! Friendly staff who weren't trying to hurry us out which was nice. Just got a bit cool when the cafe was quite empty x
