Just called in for a pint. Good range of wines but fairly limited range of beers. The best thing about this place is the beer garden. It's a really great place to have a drink as it's well sheltered from winds but seems to get the sun most of the day. Nice place for a relaxing drink.Service: 4/5
The nduja pasta was to die for!!!! And the Arancini. We went at lunch time so not busy. Service was great lovely visit when visiting Liverpool.Food: 5/5
It’s a hidden gem tucked away next to the florist. The place is beautiful, the service is really nice . The server was attentive and they also remade the pasta dish when it was undercooked for us. They make fresh pasta and thin crust pizza which had a good crust. Coffee was okay.
The Pepperoni pizza with pickled jalapenos was the best pizza I've ever had. The sauce was absolutely delicious, sweet and tangy The courtyard is very nice. With a lot of tacky establishments around Liverpool this place is the opposite and we're glad to have found it We had a delay with one of the meals but the staff gave us a free round of drinks The only sad thing is I won't be able to get this pizza again as I don't live locally
A few weeks ago, my wife, sister, nephew, and I dined at this somewhat concealed gem tucked away in an alley. Contrary to expectations, the restaurant is surprisingly spacious and modern. The staff was accommodating, though the man with long hair had an unusual distracting wavy walk. Service, overall, was commendable. The menu, of a reasonable size, caters to various diets. For starters, we tried the buyer's house arancini, lasagna bites, and crushed new potatoes. The arancini was good, but the portion seemed a bit stingy with only one piece. The lasagna bites and tatties, however, were enjoyable. As for mains, my wife had the margarita pizza, which was good but possibly lacking in tomato sauce. My sister opted for the roast squash pizza, which didn't impress either of us. Personally, I chose the Cavalo nero, egg yolk, and spaghetti, finding it absolutely delicious and a standout among the other mains. Overall, I'd rate the restaurant a 3/5. The venue's spaciousness, accommodating staff, and a mix of good and average food made it a decent experience, though we found it slightly on the pricey side.
One of the best restaurants in Liverpool. The food is stunning, the atmosphere super cosy. Good selection of wines as well. I never get disappointed here Dietary restrictions: GF options
Brilliant service and cosy, friendly atmosphere. Pasta was excellently made and cooked perfectly. The cacio e pepe butter bean starter was delicious and the bread was very good too. Vegetarian options were decent across the menu - we had the tomato and the mushroom pasta dishes. Nice mix of cocktails and desserts too. Looking forward to returning and sitting in the yard in summer.
Disappointing experience. Pizza's luke-warm, yet over-cooked. We hunted out this restaurant arriving early on a Monday 16:30. The place was very quiet, so a great chance to see the courtyard flowers which are really impressive. A big space inside and out. Other reviews, said the best pizza ever, so we were expecting something special.... only to be very disappointed. Staff were perhaps on their break,, but given the place was empty, our service was lacklustre. When the pizzas arrived, they looked good, but were luke-warm and over-cooked at the crust,.... like they had been sitting around for 10 mins while the waiting staff were busy elsewhere.... Other pizzas served to our group were better, looks like we got the duff ones... Shame.
Absolute gem. Had a delightful lunch here, lovely place, with a choice of outside or inside tables. Food was sublime, starters were delicious, pizza had the lightest of crusts and the Eton Mess was historic big portion too staff were really down to earth and friendly. You really feel welcome, relaxed and unhurried here, and a great setting for a meal/drinks with friends and family. Highly recommended.
A excellent hidden treasure in Liverpool. Look for it, and try the great food selection.Food: 5/5
