With over 25 years experience in dental care, Butterflies Dental Clinic provides exceptional service to customers throughout the local area. Situated in comfortable and relaxing premises, the clinic is centrally located in Stony Stratford High Street (Milton Keynes).

The clinic offers a wide range of general and cosmetic dental treatment. Whether your goal is to maintain a healthy smile, to address a current dental problem or to have a smile makeover, Dr Edney will prepare a treatment plan just for you.

Dr Neil Edney qualified from Guy's Hospital in 1985. He is interested in all aspects of dentistry and attends numerous courses every year to keep abreast of the latest techniques and materials. To ensure the best possible dentistry for his patients, Dr Edney has recently finished a Masters degree in dentistry. For patients that like to be treated holistically, he is also a qualified homoeopath and is able to offer alternative dental remedies. He also specialises in anxious and nervous patients.

Changing dentists after 35 years , Butterflies came recommended and were very helpful over the phone. I had my first visit and a thorough, painless checking today. The dentist, her assistant and the receptionist were all excellent. I feel well looked after and expect my teeth and gums will be well cared for.
Sarah the dentist is amazing with my boys, one of whom gets quite nervous at the dentists. Great price for a kids checkup £15. Lovely relaxed setting which doesn’t feel at all like a usual dentists.
I have been with Sarah prior to her own practice and we've been on a journey for a number of years. I was a very very nervous patient with numerous bad experiences in the past and awful teeth painful fillings, bad previous work, a huge gap in my front teeth/painful bite that I was so embarrassed about. I actually enjoy going to the dentist now! Sarah is kind, intelligent and constantly updating her skill-set with modern procedures. She will not overcharge or upsell or push you into anything you can't afford. I can't recommend invisalign, fillings and general maintenance enough through her and her team. From reception and booking/reminders and updates. Everyone makes you feel like a friend not a customer!
So so happy with the work I have had done recently by Sarah and Charlotte. After neglecting my teeth for too long I was embarrassed to come in, however after suffering a terrible abcess and getting awfull treatment from other dentists I decided to try Butterflies. Easy to get to and a clean, pretty practice with great online bookings who always answer calls without long wait times and you are even able to book via email wich I find very convenient. They put together a clear plan with detailed clear prices, and I am able to book appointments to get through the work with no pressure. The team are so friendly and I feel relaxed every time, booked in again next week, would strongly recommend :
Was slightly wary of coming here due to the very negative review below related to a receptionist, however it seems she has left as the lovely father-in-law of the dentist is now behind reception. Had a really wonderful experience from when I stepped in the door, would definitely recommend this dentist. Everyone I saw was very attentive and professional.
Sarah has been my dentist for several years including at a previous practice. I now travel 1hr each way as her work is exemplary and has saved teeth others wanted to remove.
The actual dentist is great. Seen him through my whole youth. Called up recently to book an appointment and spoke with Carol the receptionist. She abruptly told me what work needed doing and that was a £175 check up. Even though I had seen the dentist less than 2 weeks ago. I said that I didn't want a check up, I just want my repair done, after some small back and forth she then decided she didn't want to continue this conversation and hung up on me. I called back in sheer disbelief that a private practice would hang up on there customers. When I called back the same woman answered and stated that she didn't want to continue the conversation so hung up. She then also informed me that she cancelled my appointment without my request. Disgusting for a private practice to treat their customers this way. I do not recommend going here. I will take my business else where. Literally just because of the awful service that receptionist provided, I would rather join up to a brand new dental practice. Your service looks terrible for your business. Which is an utter shame. I have just signed up to a different dentist. They are happy to complete my work as I requested. They also stated that Butterfly sound like they are desperately money grabbing. The service from the other dentist is exceptional in comparison, but then again, the bar wasn't set very high.
Brilliant staff and very patient. Very reasonable prices too. Was seen on short notice for a check up after oral surgery from a different clinic. would recommend.
Neil is a fantastic dentist. We have been patients at Butterflies for many years and have never had a bad experience. The whole team have always been helpful and professional in all my dealings with them and the treatment we have had from filling replacements to root canal treatment has been very successful and painless. I would fully recommend Butterflies, especially to those with a phobia of going to the dentist!
