Story

Butterflies Bridal Outlet is one of the largest outlet stores in the North East of England. Based on Mandale Road, Thornaby, Stockton-On-Tees, we have hundreds of bridal dresses in sizes 6 - 30 for you to try on and take away on the day, with no appointment necessary.

We also stock Mother of the Bride/Groom outfits in sizes 8 - 28 and Prom dresses in sizes 0 - 26.

We sell adult bridesmaids in sizes 2 - 30 and we have flower girl dresses that start from 0-3 months and holy communion dresses from Age 6 - Age 14.

Absolutely adore my dress I picked. From Butterflies!! I went in as a bit of a spur of the moment thing as had already picked a dress, but instantly loved this one so bought it and took it home that day. Jess was absolutely a amazing and so helpful. Huge thank you to Karen for making my alterations. The dress was so comfortable and I know I made the right decision. So so happy with it. Thank you all for your help
Took my Daughter to the shop to look for her Prom dress. The shop was beautifully laid out, and the staff were very helpful and down-to- earth. They have a huge range of dresses to suit all tastes and budgets. We managed to find her Dream Dress in about 2 and a half hours and she is over the moon. I would like to say a massive thank you to Jess, the lovely young assistant who was running backwards and forwards checking that the dresses she tried on hadn't already been sold to her School. Her help and advice was really appreciated and she is a credit to the store!. We especially loved the added free " Say yes to the dress", photo opportunity at the end of our trip. I would highly recommend Butterflies to anyone looking for that perfect Prom/Wedding dress xxx
Came to this beautiful quite large prom dress boutique. My first experience walking in to a shop like this. Aww it's absolutely gorgeous. My daughter went for a prom dress and was treat like a princess, the staff were gorgeous and the place just looks the part. Has a little red carpet for the girls to walk along which I thought was lovely. Highly recommend. The prices were great too. So much choice and style. Thanks again my daughter loved her dress it made her day.
We started early to look for a prom dress for 2023 and seen this shop had a sale. As I expected a lot of drama & tears to find that perfect one. Jess was great helping to get her dresses but also left us to have a chat and try lots on. Did not expect to be coming home with her perfect dress so early on but we did. Jess was amazing the shop was lovely clean spacious. What was just a window shop we got a bargain and my daughter is trilled to have her perfect dress sorted thank you all so much for a lovely experience
Amazing service! I got my dress during covid and did click and collect, once I got home and finally seen the dress and tried it on… I couldn’t believe I had only paid £200 for such amazing quality and stunning design! I got married last Thursday and everyone commented on how amazing the dress looked, I couldn’t recommend this shop and the girls enough! I managed to get my dream dress without getting into debt! Thank you!
I went to butterflies after having a bad experience with another shop and them ruining my alterations. I was very nervous and didn’t know what to expect. The staff were very friendly and after I told them the style of dress I was thinking they got a few choices for me to try. I fell in love with the very first dress and could not believe it. I tried several more on but ended up choosing the first dress! Thank you so much for all your help and for giving me the dress of my dreams.
Highly recommended, Bought this prom dress in lockdown from the Stockton branch. The staff were amazing, they were so friendly, gave honest advice and made us feel so welcome. My daughter fell in love with the dress immediately with it being soo different to the ‘typical style’ prom dresses. Everyone commented on how beautiful the dress was. The pics just don’t do it justice. The gold pattern in real life is just beautiful. She looked absolutely stunning. So much so she won the best dressed competition AND also Prom Queen 2021 Thank you for being a part of my daughters special day and giving us memories that will last a lifetime. A***
Had the most amazing experience from start to finish. Michelle was so lovely and she really knows her stuff. I tried a few dresses on but then I tried one on and just knew instantly that was the dress for me. I said YES to my dress and literally cried happy tears. I never thought I would feel beautiful as I did because I'm a plus size bride. But I felt absolutely gorgeous I can't thank you enough
I visited yesterday as I needed an evening gown for a charity ball. The service I received from Michelle was 5 star! I had no idea about the style or fit I wanted and she helped me so much even when the dress didn't fit right Michelle helped me to see how the dress would look with alterations. I so much appreciated the time given to me and the advice as this was what I needed. The friendliness of all staff is so welcoming and I thoroughly enjoyed my time in there, I think I could've stayed all day trying on all the beautiful dresses! It was my first visit here and I would highly recommend anyone to visit who Is wanting to purchase a wedding dress, prom or evening dress as you won't be disappointed. I left feeling very happy with a beautiful dress. Thank you so much for your time, patience, expertise and fabulous customer service x
Absolutely outstanding service from the ladies at Butterflies. Went in with my mam to pick my dress for the big day and was instantly put at ease. Nothing was too much trouble as they brought me dresses they matched my preference and budget. After trying on 6 felt like a million on a super hot day, but not to worry as they made sure the fan was pointed at me the whole time, bless them I ended up purchasing the first one I'd tried on! Also purchased my stunning belt and veil too. Thank you so much to all of you for a wonderful, and stress free, experience!!
